This bypassing of cities is interesting, because Ukraine knows Russia doctrine is not to counter-attack “unscripted” and leave fortified areas?

I think these offensives have the US army doctrine written all over them. Move fast, hit hard, don't get bogged down, and let the follow-on troops clean up the encircled Russians.
My guess is they were waiting for certain triggers to occur that they needed for success. I'm talking about munitions levels, force positioning, disposition of the Russian forces, etc...

On twitter there is a channel @Wartranslated that posts translated conversations between Russian soldiers and people back home in Russia.
They are very interesting to listen to as they give an unvarnished view of whats going on. Granted, most of these soldiers are low level so they spend their time discussing local events and not grand strategy.
This is one such conversation between a Russian soldier and his wife.

This is interesting, an interview with a Russian soldier who says that 5 Ukrainian SOF guys killed 60 Russians in a trench, he was the only survivor.
I'm not familiar with this twitter account so I don't know how real this is.

Not a word since I heard his unit was heading out. Idk even know what front he deployed too. However, I bet it’s the Kharkiv front. That front is more favorable for tanks than Kherson.

The videos and Twitter of Ukrainians treating the Ukrainian soldiers in liberated cities are amazing. I can’t imagine something more emotional than seeing your own kind bring you deliverance.

A T72 that was modernized by Poland last year. He was in a T64 at the start of the war, but that tanks took an rpg in the engine block back in late May or early June. Since, the start of the war he has been promoted from the Ukrainian version captain all the way to lieutenant colonel because of his 20+ tank kills. I think that he is commanding a whole battalion of tanks now. Also I know that he reads this thread. I hope he doesn’t see this post because he doesn’t know that I accidentally slept with his sister at his wedding and again last month when I was in Ukraine.
