I've cooked on green eggs before and they're awesome. If I had to go with just one I'd go with a pellet grill. I have a rectec bullseye and you can't beat how easy it is to use. I can turn it on when I get home from work and by the time I'm done prepping meat it's ready to go. I like babying my stick burner on lazy weekends but it's nice to be able to set a temp and not have to worry about it.

Personal Preference and how you will use it. Personally hate the ceramic taste from eggs.

It all depends on what you want.

Pellet is great for me bc I can use it easily while chasing 2 toddlers around. And it (pit boss) has a sear function that works well

Pellet grill for smoking and ease of use.

Green egg for more versatility.

I have both. I have found that I use the Egg for searing and quick cooks. The pellet I like for long smokes.

?? Ceramic has a taste? I guess it's OK to taste metal from a Weber?

Id say Primo followed by KJ if ceramic. Id also look at the master built gravity smoker. Kind of a blend of things with a temp range of 150-700

Benefits of a pellet are that you can walk away from it and do nothing and it’s usually larger than an egg so you can cook more. But an egg is the way to go if you want the “art” of cooking.

We have a Joe, a black stone, two pellet grills and a stick burner.

we use the Joe and the stick burner most (by FAR).

Black stone for burgers.

Haven’t touched the pellet grills in a year.

Totally based on flavor of food.

ETA if I had to pick between the Joe and the stick burner I couldn’t do it

Get a BGE and a temp regulator like the BGE genius. Pretty much the best of both worlds
