He is immediately fixing the mess of a roster that O left behind and it really is amazing to watch. He’s getting guys with proven experience and most importantly guys who are from Louisiana and want to be at LSU to play for LSU and not for money like the guys O brought in cuz it was “cool”. The culture he is building is amazing and I can’t wait to watch it grow. In BK we trust

I agree. I think he has quickly proven to be the right hire and is swinging a big stick. In about 10 months it will be truly eye-opening how competent we are on the field also, which is what I am most excited about

It seems like he’s hitting the transfer portal hard. In today’s game it’s a crucial part of recruiting. Wish we could have retained more players but when a coaching change happens you are always going to lose some guys.

I'm sure BK is genuinely excited about being able to leverage the portal more at LSU than he could at Notre Dame. Between him, Frank & Polian, they are rebuilding the base. Can't wait to see what our 2022 roster will look like when all is said and done.

Any Cole Tracy clones out there?

O went from coaching a team that is definitively the best team ever to a complete derailment.

I have no doubt that Kelly is the right man to get us back on track

Curious as to why you think this. Typically coaches coming into a big job like this win pretty quickly.

Saban won the sec in year 2 at lsu and the natty in year 4. At bama he won the west in year 2 and natty in 3.

Stoops won the natty in year 2 at Oklahoma.

Urban won the natty in year 2 at Florida and year 3 at Ohio state.

Smart made the natty in year 2 at Georgia

Brian kelly made the natty in year 3 at notre dame

It better not be, not in todays climate in terms of dollars, patience and ability to rebuild. Much easier now, college football is like the NFL with no salary cap. In the old days it could take four years but now, no way. If your a head ball coach at power program and your looking at 4 years than your looking at the exit door.

not with the QB room we have coming in

football is all about QB play....in terms of being a very good team...

Look what Burrow did and is doing

It really will be an interesting test of the transfer portal. If we do succeed why would you ever do anything else. If not then we need to keep looking at it and reevaluate.
Calipari reloads every year with new players. It takes a small portion of the season to get rolling but you are allowed a few mistakes along the way. College football you cannot lose a couple games in to make it to the playoff.

The other things that I REALLY like about CBK is he truly understands that this is ONE of the very few and best colleges to achieve his goal.

Secondly, I love the fact that he has no interest in the pro game and won't use us for a steppingstone.
