is the daily thread where all the posters come in here and say how boring suburbs are because they have no culture or soul?
same thread where the young people ask how someone can live anywhere but big cities with lots to do?

I love lots of foods so that is not really an issue. But 8 on the crime scale is not enough for me to move. Alaska is amazing as well but their crime scale is high so some places are still better than here lol.

The public school system down there is decent, plus there are plenty of good magnet and private schools.
There isn’t a single public school in the USNWR top 1000 in all of Raleigh/Durham/Cary and you want to claim it’s the top place to live in the nation? Oh and they can and will bus your kid all over the county for equity or whatever garbage talking point they want to claim.
And claiming private schools as a saving grace, you mean Cary Academy or Ravenscraft at $18-25k per year? Fine, but remember someone made the claim it’s the best place in the country and I’d argue anywhere you have to put your kid into private for $250k K-12 in the first place to have access to a top tier education is out right off the bat.

Wealthy suburbs in Republican states.

Benton, Louisiana on Cypress Lake

Tennessee is a pretty solid state to move to. It has many of the things you like about LA, and not many of the things you don't like.

Definitely not northern Utah. It's horrible here so just stay out.

The best place I’ve lived was Bozeman Montana. Jackson Hole is fun, but the housing market makes it difficult. Also fewer amenities.

I'm not invested enough in this to argue about it. If you're relying on public schools to educate your children, you're dumber than they will be when they graduate.

I am a warm weather guy. I'll never live more than 3-4 hours from an ocean.
Montana, Wyoming and those western states are beautiful, but goddamn the winters are a bitch.

My wife grew up there... every time we look at housing costs... yikes. High as giraffe pussy.

The food in the PNW is trash.

Been here since 03. Food not nearly as good. Fishing not nearly as good. People aren’t quite as friendly. Every other aspect of living here is light years better than Louisiana.
Of course Memphis is a shithole and should be part of Mississippi
