His game was so NFL ready. Knew he was going to be a beast. Wish the Saints could have snagged him some type of way.

The Saints would have just wasted his talents, glad he went elsewhere

I'm guessing he didn't go to any of the usual prospect camps because he knew exactly where he was going.

Honestly though I think his speed and route running are what make him such a great receiver.

I agree with this.

He was a huge grade risk. Lot of the recruiting services won't rank someone who is a grade risk very highly, since they know their likely juco bound, which typically means they fade into an abyss. They want their high ranked kids to have production and say see, we called that.
And to the point above, I did read he wasn't active on camp circuit as well, which hurts exposure.
Hes so damn good..

watched that 2* make one of the wildest plays I've ever witnessed in person. my son played at Mandeville in Jefferson's Sr year and Mandeville actually played out of their minds that night, to be up 2 scores late. Destrehan scores to cut it to 1 score......Mandeville couldn't ice the game and punted.
a nice under 2 minute drive results in Jefferson catching a post route TD with under 20 seconds.....looks like we're going from winning, to a tied game. Jefferson is the holder of the PAT.........the snap GOES THROUGH HIS HANDS........now it looks like Mandeville is going to win. Jefferson turns around, chases the ball, throws it up towards the end zone, and its caught for the 2pt conversion. i played ball at Hahnville so my hatred of Destrehan was well bedded........saw one of Destrehan's coaches leaving the press box and he was someone i played ball against in high school. caught up to him and was like man what a wild finish. he said, we had no right winning that game! Jefferson made an insane play.

Elite route runner, elite at separating, elite at releasing off the line of scrimmage.

Highest per game receiving yards average in NFL history:
Julio Jones 93.8
Justin Jefferson 93.2
No one is higher than 86.1 after that.

This is what CBK's specialty is. Finding the diamonds in the rough that no one is looking at and bringing em in.
Jefferson wasnt a drama queen and worked his arse off. Get ready for a whole bunch of that in coming days.
Proud of him.

His route running is elite. He may get a new contract next year.

Was hurt his senior season at Destrehan.
Hung out with his brothers at LSU and did not attend any high school recruiting camps. He totally flew under the radar.

Somebody sounds like a whiney arse bitch in that exchange but it ain't the guy you responded to.

Gotta love the 2 star rating, him playing second fiddle to JC at LSU but still showing flashes to now just crushing NFL defenses….maybe having him tandem to chase and winning the 2019 natty was worth suffering throw watching his brother QB all those years under LM

When coaches talk about WR and DB hips, JJ has ideal hips. From a bio-physics point of view, WRs and DBs need round hips. Lineman need oval hips (center and guards need more oval hips and tackles need more rounded hips). (It's about the moment of inertia. Round objects are easier to turn about the z axis than oval objects.)

His attending LSU was never in doubt. Contributed to low star rating as there was no buzz.....
