The Manny Diaz situation in Miami is as bizzare as I've seen

quote:

@RossDellenger
Mario Cristobal has a deadline of midday Monday to accept the UM job, sources tell
@SInow
. If he declines, Manny Diaz will be retained, as
@flasportsbuzz
reported.

Final decision on AD - where Dan Radakovich is top candidate - will be made after the coach situation is resolved.

So Manny Diaz is still the coach. They're trying to get Cristobal and they'll fire Diaz or if Cristobal turns them down they'll keep Diaz. All the while there's no AD and they won't hire an AD until the coaching situation is settled

Seems like a well-run operation there.

So an AD that's not hired, is trying to replace a coach that's not fired. Boy this makes me tired.

Cristobal has to be using UM, has to. This is nuts.

If I’m Diaz I’m hoping cristobal declines and I’m bouncing. That’s as fricked up as I’ve ever seen

That’s some Joe Alleva level fricked up personnel management if I’ve ever seen it. Is he at Miami these days?

And soon as Mario turns them down, I would resign a day before early signing period

Cristobal needs the best assistants possible to cover up his ineptness as a HC. CEO shite all over again same as O

When either Briles or Odom leave Arkansas Pittman will face the same reality.

Dabo is about to face it as well.

Nobody should be feeling bad for Manny Diaz. That shite head lead a Coup d'état and got Mark Richt ran out of town. That trust fund cock sucker deserves what is coming.

If I were Diaz, I'd have taken this particular brief time to announce my departure for another program.

That's a fricking dumpster fire situation.

It’s a bizarre situation but I don’t have to much sympathy for Manny because of the way he bolted from Temple after only 3 weeks and got the Miami job from political connections.

If I was Manny I'd be at UF or FSU, with all my recruits, post haste.

Hell, maybe CBK can give him a QC role as a parachute so he can flip the bird to them as he lights the match on the way out.

He's had some pretty solid recruiting at TheU, some guys I wouldn't mind for him to bring in tow. Or UF... that's one of the reasons Mullen is gone. Miami had many times more of the top-25 in-state FL recruits than UF (who had zero last year).

Sounds like a recipe for disaster....seems like I saw this or something similar....2016 Les Miles after the fiasco that was Alleva chasing Jimbo before the A&M game at the end of the 2015 season

LSU has had a lot of clusterfrick situations in its athletic history but man nothing comes close to this disfunction.
