So basically a 7-8 seed

Will Wade better watch out. Juwan gonna throw them hands

Well that would be a shitty 1st round matchup.

I'd rather face a power conference program that barely got in than one of the best mid-majors in the tournament.

Hoping we somehow can get sent to Greenville so I can go.

The Athletic has LSU as a 5 seed in midwest bracket facing winner of a play in game

why don't we just wait to see where we land. All this guessing is exhausting.
Just try to advance in the SEC tourney and we'll go where we go.
To make a run in the Dance, we'll have to beat good teams, so no need to obsess whether we're seeded too high or too low.
Just go play and win.

Lunardi just put out a tweet that has us a 5 seed now, not updated on ESPN's site though

Going out west has been a killer for LSU in the tourney. I’d rather go east and have to face Slick Rick even though his team is gonna be a lot better coached than Michigan.

I'd love for WW to call a timeout to piss off Juwan. Ultimate gangster move.

I'm merely commenting on the seeding obsession. Wait a few days - then we'll all know.

In Palm's (CBS) bracket LSU is a 5 along with Alabama, St. Mary's, UConn.
The 6 seeds are: Texas, Colorado St., USC, Houston.
Of those 8 teams, LSU (currently) is ranked the highest in NET. LSU has more Q1 wins (6) than all of them except Alabama (7 Q1 wins).
What hurt's LSU is that they have the worst road record of all of those teams, along with the 2nd worst NC SOS.
FWIW, there is a SLIGHTLY lesser risk of a first round upset as a 5 than their is as a 6. However, it is negligible. 6 seeds have a slightly better historic win % than 5 seeds. But more 5 seeds have reached the Final Four than 6 seeds.
Point being, whether LSU is a 5 or 6 doesn't really matters as much as the path/matchups they face.

This... would rather be a 6 and play Wisconsin in the 2nd round than be a 5 and play UCLA or Illinois in the 2nd.

I need Greenville or Pittsburgh. Me and the boy are close enough to drive to either of those.

Wherever we are seeded and whatever bracket we are in, please no Big Ten teams. LSU has never faired well against Big Ten teams
