That’s why the soundbite that we heard on Monday, when a media member was heard saying “I’ll be here longer than Billy Napier, I can guarantee that”, is a likely indicator that Napier won’t be at Florida long-term

The best way you can tell when a coach is on his way out is when the media starts being smarmy? Really? My dude you're not that important.

Maybe if FLoorida made a big time hire like Brian Kelly this would be the case

When a school hires a G5 no body like bargin bin billy, the media can absolutely push that chump coach around

People are still chasing the Saban disciple/former assistant? Tennessee was burned with Dooley.

How many have worked out? One with Kirby? Jimbo can only win with an NFL QB so he doesn’t count as a success.

Tennessee writer writing about Florida is rich, considering the school he covers hasn't exactly been the cradle of coaches.

He might end up being a great coach, but I was not thrilled when State was pursuing him before we hired Leach. Not really impressed by him any.

You realize that 3/4 of Florida’s losses are all in the top 10 this week? And probably next week as well? Imagine if they had won 1 or 2 of those games. You wouldn’t be spewing half the shite you’ve been spewing for the past 3 weeks.

You really are retarded.

One championship in 50 years and Georgia fans think they're royalty.

Except royalty usually can spell basic words.

You HAVE to give a college head coach at least a few years to get his style of recruiting class together.

I haven’t really followed Napier much. Is he recruiting well?

The comparisons to Harsin are unfounded unless there’s an obvious issue in recruiting. Harsin was literally not recruiting. There was no “wait for his guys to come in.”

Recruiting fine. Not elite but solid.

Napier was a risk. It was so weird the LSU fan base Napiersexuals wanted him so badly.

exactly. i dunno what florida fans expected. I think Billy will be fine, but they are going to have to have patience. he isnt BK.

he will be fine and florida's problem run much deeper than at LSU. Very much behind the 8 ball when it comes to recruiting. other than meyer tenure the admin has lived by the ole Steve Spurrier Motto of if they want to come, great we will coach them up, if not oh well. That doesnt work in the new age or recruiting but especially in the NIL area. I think billy is changing that some but he has his work cut out.

he is recruiting good, not elite. but as mentioned UF had structural problems that billy had to fix when it came to spending money on recruiting, nil, etc. It was written about pretty extensivily on the UF boards. supposedly much of that is being fixed or has been. we shall see.

Billys big judgement is going to come this off season when he decides what he wants to do with the defensive side of the ball. if he believes it is a personel issue and keeps the DC....he better be right. because if the same issues are happenening again next year...it will be him feeling the heat.

Its bizarre you people have any attachment at all to the guy. I don't understand the supporters nor the haters.

Let the dude do his thing, judge him then. Hes not on the market.

Too early to say.

Where he excels is in building a program. That doesn't happen in a year.

His weaknesses at UL were his gameday decisions.

He's not a great in-game coach at all.

If true, that may not bode well for him at UF.

Gee… I wonder what other National Championship winning coach lost to Vandy in his first year as a head coach….?
