I'm well aware of where it is.

Then is it where Oxford is located that you're confused about?

Let's start slow. Which side of the state is the delta on?

The Delta is the Western side of the state. It's a cultural region in the state, not the Mississippi River delta. Look at a map and find the Yazoo river - between that and the Mississippi river is the Delta.

So, burst my bubble...who's backfield will be better?

Which is on the opposite end of the state.

Northwestern Mississippi is the opposite end of the state from Oxford?
On paper, and if all of these kids do sign with us, this seems to be one of the best classes we've had. So many of these 4 star kids would immediately be moved to a 5 star if they committed to an Alabama or Georgia.

Game weekends have outgrown the town a bit.

The University has outgrown the town. We're constantly seeing larger and larger incoming freshmen classes, and the roads here just aren't setup to handle the additional population the University brings in. It also doesn't help that Mississippi had gotten rid of the driving test to get a driver's license (although, they're reimplementing that) and these kids seem to not understand the concept that you have to yield to merge onto highways.

If you look over at Ed Perry going to Sisk, they're throwing up a huge number of apartment buildings to addressing the housing issue with these students.

A new grocery store is still in the plans (Sullivans) off of Hwy 30 over there near the three back-to-back round-a-bouts, and that'll help alleviate some of the traffic that congests Jackson and University.

I think at some point, the University is gonna have to either cap the enrollment numbers, or the city/county/state will have to really looking at making big changes to the roads around here.

Having said that, I love living here and especially dig it when the students are on break.

Do they still have that odd law where they can't sell their beer cold?

Nope, that law has been history for a while.

4. Savanah, GA

My wife and I have always enjoyed vacationing there and hitting up Tybee Island.
Weird topic to see, but yes, there are alligators in the lake.

Why do you believe that?

Because I watched every game he coached at Ole Miss and he would have 100% went for it both times instead of kicking the long FGs.

had they put their ego aside and let Kiffin coach HIS team

Saban obviously agreed with Ole Miss since he got rid of Lane when Lane was leaving for Florida Atlantic. Even your own AD said he would have done the same thing. Not to mention, Lane would have absolutely lost the Georgia game...

Enjoy your 50+ year old metrosexual HC. Hopefully he won't shite away a season stalking someone half his age, again.

Dae'Quan Wright was such a weapon for us last year and made some huge plays. Hoping Odom or Hasz can step up.

He'll end up being in the top half of QB's in the conference. Kid is legit talented.

Well after re-affirming his commitment yesterday he has committed to Colorado today...?

Didn't you get a temp ban for being a racist douche?

I am pretty sure he was trying to lose to us at Vaught-Hemingway last Nov. I know he tends to go for it a lot but some of those decisions he made against us were just head scratchers even by his standards

That's the thing with Lane that fans of other teams really don't get - you'll see some boneheaded decisions being made that make you 100% sure he's trying to throw the game. And then you see the team just go through the motions and squeak out a 3 point win at home against a horrible Washington State team.

I have little doubt he was trying to give away the Florida game (his family jumped on a jet the next day and very publicly toured Gainesville) and followed that up by his family visiting Baton Rouge. The experiment of him in red stick is going to be interesting - he's as likely to win a NC as he is to having to get narcan'd in a bar bathroom somewhere. The biggest thing with him is to make certain he is surrounded by staff that can reel him in and try to keep his attention and focus on winning. I think after next season, CW Jr will end up with a HC gig somewhere and that'll cause a big drop in offensive performance.

The 2024 season still pisses me off. That team should have been a lock for the playoffs - but Lane royally f'd that up.
