Doubtful that is the top 2 and those 2 are the only big names. Otherwise, you have not followed the previous 2 hires.

So we know Woodward has a 1-a and a 1-b list. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out Riley is among the two top picks. But who in the heck is the other? If it's not Fickell, not Aranda, not Brady, not Franklin, not Napier, not Fisher, not Dabo, and not Tucker?

If there is a glimmer of hope I’d say it may this.
LSU railed a pretty good OU team in 2019. Not sure of their other SEC games/playoff games since he’s been there. But if there is any hope it’s that he may see in the SEC he’s going to have even a tougher path with OU. Is he fine with OU. OR does he think his offense with a great D coordinator at LSU with what we bring in terms of D recruits, knowing 2 balloon heads won championships here before him, is that enough? Does that lure him in?
Only he knows. But I feel like that’s the only shot. And I’m riding for it!

When this whole thing started a close family member (who is pretty connected with LSU) and I were texting. He texted me that he heard O was being fired and Riley was the goal replacement hire. I quickly texted back lol ok and he said that's just what he heard. Idk I would love this hire. Definitely my number 1.

Riley is 1.A or 1.B, he's one of Woodward's top two, but based on others like Fickell being ruled out, I can't fathom who is 1.B?

They may be on the list but I am confident this is going to be just like his last two searches and nothing real is getting leaked.

Fickell has Cincinnati at 7-0 for the second straight year, ranked ahead of Alabama...Imagine what he could do at LSU, a team every year loaded with local kids who run 4.4
