You know Riley is no.1 on Woodward’s list simply because of his resume. But which one is the right fit for LSU? I really like both, and certainly don’t want someone lesser in talent.

Riley in a heartbeat. Fickell would be nice, but Riley is a proven commodity in a consistent conference.

Riley has always been #1 the question is simply whether or not he can be coerced to leave OU.

I will tell you this. I believe Fickell is on the list, but wouldn’t be shocked if he wasn’t at all.
That’s not from a source that’s just my personal thought.

More information will be out next week potentially.

TBL has posted that Fickell has already told us he wasn’t interested.

Riley all day everyday

Fickell may very well end up being great, but it’s also very possible he may simply be a product of the Cinci program.

There’s no risk/unknown with Riley

I think it's Riley as his number 1 based on the fact that he's proven that he can run a program like LSU.

I'm not sure he's the better coach compared to Fickell though.

I’d be pretty surprised if he could get Lincoln Riley from OU- what about LSU I
Makes it a better job than OU? They have everything we do plus a lot more history of success.

Anyone who says fickell should get their vote revoked

Riley should be #1 on any list if attainable. He's young, an offensive genius and knows how to develop QBs. He's also done well with OL recruiting. He's a quality DC away from being on level with Dabo and Saban.

I’m actually more concerned about 3 and 4. But according to inside sources, Woodward feels good about getting at least one of his top two guys.

The Lincoln Riley talk is nonsense. Did anybody pay attention to the baseball search? it was nearly impossible to get a successful coach to leave his program, even for the best program in America. OU will match whatever we offer and he's already got a better situation there. And OU is joining the SEC anyway. Why would he leave? What am i missing here?

Bob Stoops is much more likely if we're getting an OU coach.

Riley. I feel like a great offensive mind is what’s needed to beat Saban and Bama (and yes I think he’ll coach at least another 5 years).

Having said that, I think Oklahoma’s postseason possibility will prevent whatever slim chance the hire ever had. They’ll be in the big 12 title game with most likely a playoff spot on the line. I don’t think Woodward will wait into December only to realize his top choice isn’t even a possibility.

In Oklahoma there aren’t many big bad arse defensive players growing up there. In Louisiana they are everywhere. Riley would kill it at LSU.

i dont disagree with any of that but he's done pretty well there. As OU has done for 80 years.
