He wasn’t a Landry guy. He was a JBL guy.
Could be as simple as he declined to donate to Landrys campaign so Governor Alligator Hunter caused the coup but undoubtedly as connected as Woody is/was, he was connected to the wrong people for this leadership in the state.

It’s more a performance issue. Our two biggest money sports suffered embarrassment after embarrassing issue under woody. The O extensions, his meddling in giving Bo pelini 3 million to golf, the BK contract.
Then you have our basketball team being pathetic
I’d add in spending an outrages amount on a sport that doesn’t matter in women’s basketball.
His only good true hire was Jay Johnson.

Time will tell and we might not like how Landry handled it but we are as Coach O said, “we are coming.” One of the best things that is going to happen is that Coach O will be back with Kiffen and college football is scared to death. No more cancel culture/BLM/ George’s Floyd BS, just bright days ahead.
