Kris Richard maybe. I hope not, though.

Honestly I hope not, not that I question is ability to coach. I question his ability to have the players follow him. He was head coach with Mizzou was going through some seriously rough times with race and it didnt appear that he handled it well.

Thought I saw another thread saying he is no longer in play at UT and is staying at Arkansas.

Jim Leonhard and Kris Richard are names that have been reported to be in consideration. Odom as well but sounds like he’s staying put at Arkansas which is fine with me he’s who I’d least want of the group. I don’t understand why David Reeves hasn’t been poached from UAB by a power 5 school he’s had 3 straight seasons of Top 10 defenses at UAB and did it with 2 returning starters last season.

If Freeman declines ,give it to Raymond if he wants it.

Better be Arnett and stop the foolishness of only having a 4-3 defense.

Odom would be an ok hire (in the same vein as Mason or Muschamp) but I thought he decided to stay at Arky.

Just wondering after Freeman and Odom, who's next on the list.

I like the UAB guy. Not crazy about Richard. I would also look at the State guy.

Depends on the names given to Ponamsky when he starts making calls.

The foolishness would be thinking that we only have a 4-3 defense. Every team runs multiple fronts. Mostly 4-2-5 at this point.

Wished you had told Ed this before he hired Pelini last year.

Herein lies the problem. Arguably the most important hire for the offseason has one candidate to get excited about for which other programs are actively pursuing.

I am tired of the "What about this guy" stupid posts that crop up here everyday especially without any research.

In watching bowl games, this guy impressed me especially because of the good LB and DB/Safety play in the game.

Tommy Thigpen

He is Co-DC at UNC under Mack Brown currently and has coached in the SEC before and is regarded as a pretty good recruiter.
