As long as he played, he definitely has Xs and Os. It may not be his forte' but you can't tell me he doesn't understand the game.
If his teams tackle like he did Colorado will make USC look good.

Last week, Satterfield met with the AD and wanted a $500k raise and extension. Josh Heird (UofL AD) basically said they would not commit to him long term because the results have been very average. Satterfield never felt embraced. So he gone

Auburn
Hugh Freeze will have a couple of good seasons and leave them with sanctions and a dumpster fire. He talked trash about Houston Nutt being dirty.
This lead to a defamation lawsuit and it came to light that Freeze was ordering escorts with his work phone....
This will end BADLY for Au-Barn.

Deion will fail big time.
IDK man, they one 1 game this year. All he needs to do is get them to 9-3 consistently and that will be a big success for that program. It has the facilities, the money, the location... I think he'll be coaching "at the next level" longer than Sun Belt Billy

For what? Paying players?
You realize four or five people in the Ole Miss AD got lengthy show cause penalties and none of them are named Hugh Freeze.

"Fail" is relative.
Fail to reach the playoffs? Probably. Though what is anticipated to be a very watered down Pac 12 once USC and UCLA leave, followed potentially by Oregon and Washington, who knows?
Fail to improve on the current status of the program? I doubt it. CU can't get a whole lot worse.
I think Deion will give CU a short term boost followed by a pretty low plateau. Maybe 6-7 wins a season (at best). Relative to the current state of the program that isn't failure. Relative to playoff level hopes, it is.
Cincinnati's hire is the biggest head scratcher. It is a program that has been very good over the last few years, and generally solid for over a decade. It seemed to be a better job that places such as Colorado, Georgia Tech, etc. Yet, they hired a guy who was arguably going to be on the hotseat going into next year

I’ve got Cincinnati too. That one makes no sense to me. I’d really love to have heard the behind the scenes on how that one went down.
agree. they have such a good thing going, feels like satterfield is a bit of a buzz kill.

They had a chance to hire a young, up and comer and went the retread route.
A failed retread that has had other issues

UAB and Tulsa were bad but with the candidate pool Cincinnati could choose from I have no idea what they were thinking.

Still doesn't explain what Cinci was thinking on their end. They went from Fickell to Satterfield. That's an insane drop off considering Cinci is in a good position to bring in a decent up and coming coach.
And given how hard he's being dragged today by former and current players on Twitter, it's clear Satterfield will probably be shown the door in a couple of years at Cinci too.
Just so bizarre.
