What's up with Mullen? Is he seriously considering leaving Moo State?

I've seen Mullen's name popping up for various SEC vacancies--including Florida and A&M. Is he really getting ready to make a move? I think he's a great coach, and it would be interesting to see what he could do anywhere in the SEC besides Starkvegas, but it seems like he has a good thing going there--building them into a perpetual outside contender despite playing in the SECW.

Hard to believe Moo State would be stupid enough to let him go.

They may not have a choice. And before some fat MSU fan comes in here with their usual tiny dick buttmad response "But but but , Why would he ever leave Starkville?"

From what he has done with this MSU program, he deserves way better than that

As an LSU fan, I really hope Mullen stays at Moo State. If he moved to a better program, he could really do numbers. He will always be somewhat limited in his current job. I like it that way.

I think most Sane people do not want Mullen at a major football school in the SEC.

Its pretty incredible that Mullen can recruit pretty damn good for MSU standards and to be able to compete with the likes of LSU Bama and Auburn in the west

Its hard enough as it is to convince kids to play at MSU

Not saying Mullen will stay or leave, maybe Mullen like this job as its not a lot of pressure. Mullen is considered a savior in Starksville, him and his wife seem to be very happy and the kids love to play for him.

State is going to be strong next year. I'd expect he stays for at least one more year at a minimum.

He would pose no threat to LSU as head coach of Tennessee. Fla. is another story, but he is no Spurrier or Meyer. I am not worried about him.

Mullen is a good, solid coach.

But a great one? No.

he can and will coach circles around Oregeron. I still wish we had gone after him last year.

Dude, stfu. O has already coached circles around many SEC HC’s. He will beat Mullen In TS next year if he stays, book it.

A. I'll bet you've never been to Starkville in at least 10 years
B. Keep listening to Bruce Feldman, Clay Travis, and other hot takers. Mullen, Gruden, Patterson ain't coming to your dead program.
C. Expect a Willie Taggert type of hire.
D. Feel free to bookmark this, as I will, when the melt ensues after the hire is made.

Which is what, exactly? They have lost less than 4 games all of 1 time since he’s been there. Similarly, they have only had 1 season of a winning SEC record. They have finished ranked only twice. In 8 seasons. (This year still TBD). He’s good—maybe even really good—but he’s not who a lot of you have deemed him in your heads.

Is Tennessee a dead program? You really believe that or are you just lashing out like a small child because someone hurt your feelings on the internet?

And you know this how? He had MSU number 1 at one point . That right there should give him some type of greatness. I think at a good school with better players he could be in the top 10 of college coaches with the type of offense he runs.

I saw part of a Mullen press conference yesterday. When asked about potentially taking another job (specifally UT) he indicated:

He has a good job that he likes.

Nothing about his interest level one way or the other.

He doesn't care about others' opinions of what he should do.

He values his own and his wife's opinions.

I think Mullen might be pretty interested in the TN and ATM jobs.
