He would pose no threat to LSU as head coach of Tennessee. Fla. is another story, but he is no Spurrier or Meyer. I am not worried about him.
If Mullen can kick LSU's arse at MSU, he definitely could at Tennessee and Florida.
I do not want Mullen at a school with much better resources, especially in the SEC

We hardly ever play Tennessee.

Oh my bad I didn't mean to interpret it that way

Sounds like he's the backup backup plan for VOLS if we whiff on Gruden or Frost, OP
I'd love it Gruden went to UT, but I doubt it happens. Mullen would be a pretty smart high-upside low-risk hire for UT or ATM, imo. I'd shoot for Frost 1st too, but I would get both irons in the fire now ahead of ATM.

It won't be in any of the major sports. Even if Mullen wanted to leave MSU, why do you think he would want to go to Tennessee right now? There will be better jobs come along in the next couple of years. There's a better job available now.
Maybe because he has already tried to get similar jobs like VT and Miami.

In 2016, lsu hung on for dear life in TS to win
If we hung on for dear life in 2016, State did the same in 2014.
LSU dominated State in 2016. Just like State did in 2014.

O has already coached circles around many SEC HC’s.

A lot of hemming and hawing and never dismissed the idea, imo.
If he dismisses other jobs, he won’t have any leverage in his contract negotiations, bud.

Don't worry, he's not going to Florida.
