I wouldn’t be upset with Drink but not really all that excited either.

He also kind of weirds me out

It's funny that a lot of LSU fans can't let go of saban hope even when the ad literally said it wasn't happening lmao

As we get older we learn that people often say things that turn out to not be true. That's not a Saban prediction, just an observation on life

No way in hell saban's going to agree to come here and that shite not leak out.

There's something to remember about this process as well. He is currently EMPLOYED by the University of Alabama. If he was in negotiations with LSU he would have had to inform the University first. Otherwise it's a conflict of interest and could be breach of contract as well. And like you said, THAT would leak with haste.

It’s going to be NONE of those and we will end up keeping Frank as no one else will want it after watching the ongoing shitshow from state and school administration

Heupel would have great offenses, but will he buy into the culture and actually try to embrace the university?
Seems it'd be easier for him to embrace the university than vice-versa.

I can absolutely guarantee you that Frank Wilson will not be the next head coach at LSU. I’m really not sure how so many here even think this is a remote possibility.

Baker doesn't have any intentions on being a HC just yet but also hasn't had any offers yet and loves being at LSU. This would allow him to fully lockdown defense and have offensive minded coach to take the reigns.

This is where you gave away your ignorance.

If not Lane, I'd love to have Drinkwitz or Heupel. I don't get the hate here that so many have for Drink. He's a damn good coach and has turned Mizzou into a borderline contender/top 20ish team, which at Mizzou seems like a minor miracle. Add on the fact he has had some really good coordinator hires, a few of whom we've hired away from them.

I really hope we stay far far away from Sumrall. I don't think he's that good of a coach, but moreso I just don't think he can handle a big time job like LSU, at least not currently. Maybe some time down the road but I'd rather him prove he can have some consistent success at a program.

I’d be wary of Lebby. Not a large enough of a sample size.

After Lane loses to Florida and Lebby kicks that butt in the egg bowl, Lebby goes to the top of the list.

I don’t what Brian Hartline to ever leave Ohio State, but if he does, I would rather him go to LSU than to Penn State. This way, we don’t have to play against him.

He's employed on paper. If your active HC informs you that he's interviewing for another job you have to seriously consider firing him on the spot. (Unless it's a major step up like ULL--->FL.) If the retired guy/goodwill ambassador/once in a while fundraiser informed the AD that he was considering taking a job I doubt very much that it would leak. And again, I'm not expecting a Saban: Part Deaux but your point is way off base.

Honestly I'd take Golesh before Drink. Call me crazy (I probably am).

Drink does not fit at all

How so? He is employed by another SEC school. He has an office in Bryant Denny. Sure it’s just a figurehead position, but as long as he’s getting a paycheck it’s a conflict of interest to say the least.
