Waiting to see what more info he got for me! Been spot on with a few so far.

And I guess my source is more involved than I thought.
Will be announced as LSU head coach tomorrow. Unless Kiffin himself goes public with it sooner.

I told everyone. Just wait.

Told everyone it would be announced Sunday. Relax. Watch the game and enjoy watching Vanderbilt whooping some Tenner butt!

Still going strong and still stand by it. Told ya'll Saban had a lot to do with this. Still, Sunday will be when LSU announces him. Whether or not he makes it public today is up to him.

I also mentioned Lane wanted to wait for the outcome for Ole Miss before making a decision in an earlier post. This was before the Ole Miss AD wanted a decision by today.

Since that last post, my source has only updated me with the potential of bringing O back and keeping Frank and Raymond on staff was non-negotiable. Other than that he is a done deal.

I asked the same question. No response. Must be legal reasons.

This Sunday, LSU will announce Kiffin as Head Coach.

I was informed by my source that works in business development for LSU. Said Saban had a lot to do with closing the decision for Kiffin and that was the end of the conversation.

The house shopping for Kiffin rumor is true, as the company my wife works for, is the company that is doing the processing for his mortgage, and she gave me confirmation on it. They are also the same company that processed Brian Kelly's mortgage.

Ban me if I am wrong come Sunday.
From what i gathered, no offer was thrown out there, only feelers to see where he stands. Apparently, he had no response as he is waiting to see how the season plays out.
quote:

Heupel has a better resume.

That is why his name has been brought up recently.
Heupel is a non-celebrity status Kiffin. Look at his offenses.

Sumrall was in consideration before the newly hired president and AD, he doesn't have the coaching experience quite yet.
My source is on sidelines during games. Works in business development.
Nick Saban brushed off the offer kindly, the ship hasn't sailed just yet as conversations are still being had but aren't very confident in him returning.

No offers just yet for Kiffin, just some feelers, waiting for Ole Miss outcome as he is fully dedicated to this season.

Scratch off Urban Meyer and Sumrall.

New names being brought up:

-Heupel is being talked about a lot, according to my source, they think he would do incredible things based off his resume and recent success and likely the top guy if Kiffin turns down.

-Drinkwitz, according to my source they believe he would be a solid hire if other options don't pan out. He would most likely accept offer, regardless of money being it would be a huge upgrade coming to LSU

-Lebby, they like how he is starting to make the turn with Mississippi state but would be cheap option high risk

-Hartline, the only name being brought up that they are willing to take a chance on. Baker doesn't have any intentions on being a HC just yet but also hasn't had any offers yet and loves being at LSU. This would allow him to fully lockdown defense and have offensive minded coach to take the reigns.

Those are just the top three. They do have back up plans. like I said it's not 100%
My source is more than just a custodian. He is also on the sidelines every home game. Woodward doesn't have the say so in the hire, he is pretty much in time out right now. The candidates are being chosen by current staff, alumni, and a few boosters that are willing to donate for the right one.
Some have reached out to him and his opinion on who he would hire. Kiffin, Sumrall, and Brohm were his three choices. Feels as if Kiffin would click better with the fanbase and bring excitement back the death valley.
You would be surprised how many think he would come here and compete year one.
The current members on staff and some of the alumni that have spoken about their concerns in this hire, don't think he would mesh well with the current team and fanbase.
Me personally, I think if we can't land Kiffin then Sumrall would be my pick. I doubt Saban will get back into coaching. I'm iffy on Meyer too.
