I doubt Notre Dames offer was more than half of what LSU offered. I don’t think it was competitive at all.

We're talking about a guy who they say was staying at Fickell's house to coach. I don't think it was just top dollar wins.

Yep Baton Rouge is one of the worst places in America. As close to a 3rd world country you can get.

Drink all of dat sauce.

B da fella has 6 kids and he likes to poke a lot. He needs to be close to da fam for the babysitter. Who is gonna watch the kids on date night? ND has a great child care program. Tops in the country...hard to compete with that.

I am tired of LSU being used. Coaches are simply a microcosm of society. Use whatever you can to get ahead. Our school is many times left on the outside looking in. I moved all over the country to improve the financial well being of my family. This guy wants comfort. By the way South Bend is no great shakes as a safe community.

If you're making $2+ million a year, any city is a great city to raise a family...

That's what I figured. It's gonna come out eventually that he was offered like 1-1.8mil per year his LSU offer was probably 2-2.8mil per year. It was never about money. Every insider has already said that.

LSU is a great place with better players. But your head coach is on his way out. No one wants to sink with that ship unless they can be the guy that takes over. That's not gonna happen since O did that with Miles.

You're gonna need to find an underrated climber or a rehab project like Saban has done with OC's coming from analyst spots. The days of Poaching a Name guy like you did with Aranda, Chavis, or A&M did with Elko, Auburn with Steele even, that's not going to happen.

Dude has a half dozen kids. Winning a natty isn’t the first priority. It’s a job. There are bigger things in life. I get why he chose ND.

Exactly.....its like being in the fricking military

Except it’s not the military and you don’t HAVE to accept a job far from home when you have similar opportunities closer to home and family.

Yeah, Dude makes $3 mil a year now because he moved from OK to Clemson... Everybody keeps making runs at him and Clemson keeps uping the ante.
