If Ensminger is promoted to OC I fully expect open revolt across the fan base.

I’m not saying that Ensminger is a bad guy or even a bad OC, this just isn’t the time to be promoting from within. Show the fans, recruits, current roster, alumni, and the upper brass that you’re serious about building a championship program.

This is exactly how I feel about it.

I think everyone on Earth aside from Orgeron and Alleva is of the opinion that keeping Canada is better than promoting Ensminger

I agree with this.

I honestly don't think Orgeron has the pull to make this move. And, I also don't think this is what he wants to do. This is a threat to get the admin to agree to spend the money to replace Canada.

Seems to be some smoke there for sure...the fact that none of the media folks are doing more than vague hinting makes it even more realistic to me.

I don’t have social media things. What exactly does it mean when someone “follows” someone else? Why would he do that?

It’s like adding them as a friend and exactly why we are making a big deal about it . FAU didn’t recruit Marshall or Traore so what would randomly make Briles follow two of our new highly rated offensive pieces who have signed to play for LSU? Perhaps getting to know his new crew.

It's an indication that he is trying to reach out to those people or at least learn more about them.

We're all reading between the lines. But, IMO, this either isn't very far down the path yet...or there is something very suspect goign on.

Option A: Orgeron hasn't been given the go ahead to fire Canada and hire someone else, yet. He's been trying to force their hand all along. The rumors and leaks were clearly from the program. He was hoping that Canada would leave on his own. It appears that isn't going to happen. Now, he's trying to figure out a way to get approval to make a move. If he lines up Briles, the admin will probably go along with it. This is what we should be hoping for.

Option B: This could very easily be a bait and switch type of situation like last year. I never thought Orgeron was going to bring in Kiffin. I thought they both did one another a favor and allowed each other to use the "mutual interest" for their own purposes. Orgeron got the HC job in large part because of that. It didn't matter once it fell through.

It's very possible that he's floating Briles' name with the blessing of his friend in an attempt to get the admin to go along with firing Canada and giving him a budget. Briles will fall through and Orgeron would then make another hire.

In either case, this doesn't feel like something that's really close to happening.

You add them to your home feed and see all of thier posts. I think it matters here because most times on Twitter you need to be following a person to send direct messages. It opens a line of communication.

Scroll down a ways.

Briles is following Terrace Marshall. Not sure when he started following him, though.

...or, he's trying to get people to notice it for some other purpose.
