Not a single swinging dick in here knows for FACT what that list is/was or if a list even was prepared for processing.
Some of us got bread crumbs and those are likely all horseshite. We know for FACT the Riley ones were.

No one on this board knows whether Riley was or wasn't the #1 choice.
For goodness sake, we've pretty much established that the "insiders" on this board knew nothing whatsoever, and now people are going back and forth over whether he was or wasn't the top choice, as if they actually know. The lesson we supposedly learned didn't last very long

He absolutely was and I’m sure Woodward’s thought was “who is going to turn down this much money”? That’s been his MO throughout his career. Just offer a ton of money where the coach can’t refuse.
USC has non-monetary advantages over LSU. Easier path to playoff. Established recruiting lines for Riley from his time at OU. No school better positioned to take advantage of NLI. That may have been the bigger pros for him over a school in a very tough conference with SKY HIGH expectations.
LSU can still get a good HC who can win a NC. But Woodward is moving on to fall back options with guys trying to spin it as if LSU didn’t get turned down

Why would Baylor delay? They hire good coaches. At least they bave the last 2. They are program that wants to win and Riley just left. Aranda leaving doesn't make a ton of sense.
