Why not make Frank special teams coach and recruiting co-ordinator. Couldn’t get much worse than some of the special teams efforts this year. Frank stays coaching, new running back coach appointed and all together a win win.

Why not assistant head coach?
That's gonna be for Sam Pittman when he comes in to coach Offensive Line.

The man ran a play on 4th down, where one person crossed the first down line, in a game with nothing to lose...

s also doing the same if all coaches aren’t in alignment and are causing problems inside the program that aren’t in alignment with the HC.

I agree. Verge come in and handle this.

$25-30M to NIL has been very widely reported. Supposedly OM could match the salary but they couldn't match the NIL. That's been a major part of the story for at least a week.

Dellenger reported that the $25-30M was including revenue sharing. NIL was only $10-12M of that total.

Ah, that wasn't how it was reported all week, though. But the greater point is that the players and recruits all heard the numbers being talked about, whether they were accurate or not. And I have a hard time believing that Ole Miss couldn't match $10-12 M. That's been widely reported, too.

That's not true, how many other programs feel that way, relationships can be built You think Kiffin can't do that without Wilson. If Wilson is so loyal to LSU he would be grateful to stay on the staff in any capacity, he ain't that good of isn't a good coach

Frank wants to remain as the RB coach, and is now telling recruits to delay signing or consider other options until he gets clarity on that.

If this is true I am shocked that he is still employed.

That is not believable.

While it certainly helps, this is definitely not true.

If you honestly believe this than I have some ocean front property in AZ you may be interested in.

Sure some kids prob still care about whose coaching em but at the end of the day the question that’s most important to them is: How much can you pay me?

You think kids are just bouncing around from team to team every year bc of the coaching? No. It’s bc someone else is offering em more $.

The higher ranked the recruit the greedier they are.

There are many ways to keep Frank as an on-field coach, just as long as he is fine with sharing coaching titles

associate HC / co-RB coach
run game coordinator / co-RB coach
pass game coordinator / co-RB coach
recruiting coordinator / co-RB coach
recruiting coordinator/ co-offensive coordinator

I think the days of needing elite recruiters are behind us. The NIL era is about what is the best package you can provide the player.

Don't get me wrong, having good recruiters (like Frank) is still necessary but I don't believe it carries the weight it used to.

I was disappointed he was named interim HC to begin with. Not surprised at all to hear this.
