It’s a bizarre situation but I don’t have to much sympathy for Manny because of the way he bolted from Temple after only 3 weeks and got the Miami job from political connections.
Yeah, this sounds like karmic justice.

Wonder if Mario will keep him around as DC for the same salary he's getting now? Sunk cost already, so why not?

Is Michael Irvin snorting blow off a hookers arse making these decisions from a motel 6 in dade county? Seems like it.

To where? Temple is open but don't think they will try to run it back.

I would go back to being a DC before I continued coaching for Miami

Yeah, should definitely have the AD hired first before anything.

That's how Arkansas ended up with Chad fking Morris. The interim AD was actually pushing for Kiffin I believe, but she got overruled by Jerry Jones pushing for Morris.

A true AD with power wouldn't have ever let that happen, but since there was a power vacuum Jerry was able to pull it off. And the rest is really shitty history

Sounds like a recipe for disaster....seems like I saw this or something similar....2016 Les Miles after the fiasco that was Alleva chasing Jimbo before the A&M game at the end of the 2015 season

LSU has had a lot of clusterfrick situations in its athletic history but man nothing comes close to this disfunction.

If I was Manny I'd be at UF or FSU, with all my recruits, post haste.

Hell, maybe CBK can give him a QC role as a parachute so he can flip the bird to them as he lights the match on the way out.

Norvell would git a home run bringing in Manny in some capacity to tag team south Florida with Randy Shannon

And soon as Mario turns them down, I would resign a day before early signing period

If he resigns he forfeits his buyout, right? I'm sure they're hoping he does resign.

If Cristobal takes that job he’s nuts.

It’s like the LSU coaching search except the exact opposite

If I were Cristobal, I would not go to Miami. I understand the ties in Miami for him, and the rumors of what they're wanting to do facilities and all, but they've got this screwed up as bad as Tennessee a few years ago. They're gonna expect him to win before all of that comes to fruition, and he's not Radakovich's hire.

Why the fuk wouldn’t Miami try hiring Hugh Freeze? I know Miami fan base is shite and Freeze likely wouldn’t want to coach in Miami.

Eventually a P5 school is going to give Freeze a shot and he’ll field good teams. Too soon with the baggage I guess.

It's absolutely disgraceful what's going on down there right now. Both men are under contract and Diaz has yet to be fired.

This situation is so fricked

I wonder how Manny feels about a 12-incher right up his pooper right about now. In the end he may get the last laugh.
