Man, this is incredible. When Wade was fired I stopped posting as much and stopped frequenting LSU events. Even baseball and football. To this day all purple and gold and never stopped supporting the school. I rarely attended any games. Even football. I didn’t do that just because of Wade getting fire but it played a big part.

Was never a fan of Woody. Regardless of Wade situation. It didn’t help. I just believed his achievements as an AD were way overblown. Don’t care he went to high school right up the road. Makes no difference if our coached are from Louisiana or not.

Just like coaches, being “one of us” makes no difference. Kim is a Louisiana gal but she came back home only after carving a legacy of her own. SW hired Kim and JJ. Great hires.

Kim wanted to to come home and SW paid her what she wanted.

JJ was I believe his third or fourth option, so good on him for that hire. Though, had he not been spurned by 2 coaches in particular, we wouldn’t have JJ.

This is way too big of a rambling post. Point I want to make about Wade is he made LSU basketball fun again. He brought a spark not seen in over a decade. I really think he had us in the right direction. Perennial tourney team, stellar recruiting and the man was all passion. Not going to lie, basketball isn’t my favorite sport to watch but with Wade I’m ready to find season tickets.

I dont think we have to worry about that conversation. I think the bubble will be more our speed this year. This team, if they want to get to a higher level, needs to claw back from a deficit late and show they can win a game. Its the end of march, the season is almost half over and they havent done that yet. Shouldve been done a couple times

Yes. They would need to win 7 of the 8 remaining series, unless they sweep a couple teams. Should sweep SCAR. 4 of the last 5 series are against top 25 teams. 2 in the top 10 and will likely be 3 by the time we close with Florida. Sullivans teams always seem to really catch fire the last 4-5 weeks of the season. Not looking good.

I’m not a nega. Love JJ just not one of those seasons. A 2-4 start isn’t insurmountable but the way this team doesn’t hit the ball, it’s highly unlikely. The bats are awful

Anyone that is giving up on the season after a mere 6 of 30 SEC games is a dumbass. We haven’t played well, but this season is just getting started.

JJ is outstanding. Glad he’s our coach. There is time to turn the season around but this team does not have the horses to do it. Again, still very early but I don’t see it. One guy offensively that I have no doubt get super hot is Serna.

15-16 conference wins is likely gets a regional host site. 8 series, 24 games and they need to be 1-2 games above 500 the remaining conference games. More than likely it’ll take 14 wins out the next 24 games to get a regional at home. Take 2 out of 3 in 7 series or t2 sweeps and 6 series wind taking 2 of 3. Not sure who they would sweep but they’ll sweep at least on series.

Pitching was surprisingly good enough to win this series easily. Their offensive approach is just really bad. Not just situational, just hitting in general. Good news if they actually start hitting the ball in league play, that shite is contagious and I hope they all get infected.

I can live with a poor season if the coach is ,500 in championships in his time here. Realistic expectation is a championship ever 4 years and 2 CWS appearances during that time. I know that sounds like an assholish expectation but LSU is premiere league program in the country.

Oh. 4 of the last 5 series are against top 25 clubs, 2 in the top 10 and could be 3 by the time we close with Florida. Sullivans teams seem to get really hot those last 4-5 weeks of the season every year.

I have a bunch of former coworkers on that project, good for them.

Yes indeed. Glad for those folks.

Iran has been needing to be sorted out for a long time now. It's really pretty simple, you don't get to attack Americans and American interest for 50 years unchecked. You can't allow a nation that sponsors terrorism around the world to develop nuclear weapons. And when a country slaughters 35,000 of its own citizens for protesting someone needs to step in and do something about it.

This is part of it and I agree.

This is all about tightening the noose on China though, which I’m ok with.

That is some pretty good ball clubs Auburn swept. Impressive
Thanks Adam. You think Serna sticks at 1b or DH? Just asking what you think. His stick will be needed
quote:

I did get to see Arrambide and Serna at 1B this fall. Arrambide held his own, Serna needs more reps there. Serna appears to have a good eye when hitting but does have a long swing. I'm concerned SEC pitchers will exploit that. He's built so incredibly strong looking, I can't wait to see him when he reaches his full potential.

Will Serna catch when Cade rests? I haven’t kept up with fall ball and I seer Serna has been playing 1b. Again, I haven’t seen Serna with my own eyes this fall but I’ll take your word he may struggle against good SEC pitching.

I got to see Serna several times last spring and summer. He’s one of the best natural hitters I have ever seen. Of course that changes when the competition is better. I was just incredibly impressed with him.

Love it. Nice job blowing yet another playoff game, Payton

He’ll win Denver a SB within the next 3 years. Some of you are giant pussies. Saints never sniff a SB without him

I hope most fans realize how truly incredible this haul is. Upgraded the 3 most important positions on the field and added depth. The fact that he landed Leavit, Longstreet & Clarke is nothing short of amazing. I knew he would do well in the portal but not like this. I’ve said year 2 LK would have his boys in the playoffs. They have a shot this year but don’t fool yourselves. UGA, TX, A&M are still loaded. Everything for the 26 season depends on how quickly these new pieces and the entire offense in general learn Kiffins offense. There is no better offensive mind than CLK.

Make no mistake. He has put his $ where his mouth is and his attitude is title or bust. He’s not going to make excuses. He and his staff are building something that everyone near the program sees and feels. It’s still early, still ball games to play, but I have zero doubts we will be entering a new golden age of Tiger football. He’s here and he’s not going anywhere. If anything, maybe after 2-3 championships in a seven year span he gets the itch to coach NFL but I doubt it.

From 10:05 to almost noon I saw a lot of deer. Nothing I wanted to harvest but several young deer that I am really excited about. My rut is basically over

Since noon, nothing. I’m about to haul arse about 3 miles south and hunt that old bean field.

I do think for most of us for the next several days mornings will be best to catch a mature buck on his feet heading back to bed early morning. If you’re in an area where your rut is peak, doesn’t matter as long as you got the does.

Good luck. Would like to get more feedback on other folks deer movement today.

257wby, nothing? Your rut should be wrapping up right?

Crossed my mind for sure. After it happened, I physically felt sick to my stomach so climbed down to take a dump 150 or so yards behind stand at canal and woods. My insides were all messed up.

Had I not had my youngest nephew and Brothers hunting out here, things may have been different this morning. I hope I don’t regret it. Last time I had a similar situation like this was about 6 years ago. The very next morning I shot a buck I had never seen, had no idea about and no pictures of. He was huge. I really do believe in good and bad karma as I’ve gotten older. I believe if you have integrity and do things the right way, I’m usually blessed more than I could’ve hoped. I haven’t always been like this though.

Elevated box Hunting an L. Directly in front 350 yard lane x 40’ wide. To my west lane a little longer and same width.

Had a huge, huge 9 we’ve been seeing on camera all season, mainly at night. This dude comes out 11 minutes before shooting time 170 yards away to feed at a patch of peas. Could see him all through Binos and scope. Gun up on rail and ready, just waiting for legal light. Thought it was at legal light. Looked at phone and still 4 more minutes. That joker walked back into woods 2 minutes until shooting light. I thought for sure it was time. Very disappointed. That’s the way it goes sometimes. Maybe a bigger 170” deer we have walking around shows up once frost melts. I’ve been sitting in my stand stewing over that other deer all morning sine it happened. About to turn phone off, pay attention and sit still all day if I can

Certainly not impossible but certainly not easy. I decided to do this in my late 30s about 5 months before Covid hit. For 4 years I fought like hell to keep my people with families employed, all bills paid on time to any vendor and hustled my arse off to get us certain projects.

This shite is not for the meek. It helps that you have some Capital going into something like this but a lot can go wrong if you’re not thorough. Other than a strong work ethic, I sincerely believe you need to be a person with integrity. Sure, we all know some of these sleeze balls that have none and it seems they’re are getting by without repercussions but it will ALWAYS come back to bite them.

We’ve been incredibly blessed after struggling close to 4 years but we have been rolling the last 17 months. Have been blessed more than I could’ve hoped for (knock on wood).

There’s a lot of liability and responsibility you’re accountable for. That weight can feel pretty heavy sometimes. I’m not trying to scare you but there are a shite load of things you need review and pray about before just jumping in. I’m not saying don’t not do it because of fear of failure. If you’re scared of the horses arse you’ll never see his face. Just make sure you’ve done your due diligence.

ETA: And sometimes I do want to go back to consulting for big firms like I did in the past. When you own your own though, my downtime/ off time has been almost zero the past nearly 6 years. Some of that has to do with me though.

That’s pretty cool. Wife sounds even cooler.

I've wanted Kiffin at LSU since he was the OC at Alabama. I've never felt so confident in a hire, and if he fails, I'll own up to being wrong. I won't be though.

Same. I don’t post often but it blew my mind how our fans thumbed their noses at Kiffin over the years. I’ve always said, he was a younger guy, probably had too much responsibility given to him at such a young age and made some mistakes.

I’ve always said when he got around the 50 year old age mark he was going to put something special together somewhere and have a pretty dominant decade run. I’m not worried about him leaving for another CFB program anytime soon. I think the NFL will come calling in 5-6 years. That may not interest him though. Could we really have pulled off the best hire for both sides at the right time? I believe so. Time will tell.

quote:

Our fall back is probably O Not bad tbh

It’s not. Like, at all. When O burned bridges here with the board and the biggest boosters, he burnt them completely down. Kiffin knows this. As good as a relationship they have with each other, Kiffin wouldn’t bring him on staff. Not even as an analysts.

He can’t be trusted and would be a distraction. Miles was done and should’ve been canned sooner. O sewed a lot of discord in that ops building and locker room. It was some very grease ball type shite. Not saying Les was already on his way out, but O did some pretty diabolical shite before becoming interim.

He’s an excellent recruiter and solid DL coach but if it’s not Robinson, it’ll be someone that Lane and Baker both want. I really don’t get the obsession of fans wanting him on staff. He really did leave the program in shambles.

Ol boy who posted a few weeks ago that O had called his trainer/ meessage therapist and informed him to be ready was literally a plant. It was O trying to drub up some smoke and gain some goodwill back with fans when he went on that 1 week media tour

Thanks for the greatest CFB season ever and the memories but no thanks.
