In 2019 maybe he didn't favor recruiting. That's 6 years ago. NIL has changed the landscape. LSU has set up an NFL model with Austin Thomas GM managing and compensating the roster. LSU can pay Brady the exact monies an NFL HC earns. He's a worthy candidate. Find out if he's interested. Thomas, Wilson and Raymond are the primary recruiters. Brady just needs to close the deal with recruits.

With a Heisman QB and 2 future all-pro receivers.

LSU fans have the dumbest confirmation bias ever. Genuinely irrational.

You'll pass over 100 coaches with merit for that one coach that made you feel good that one time 10 years ago.

Its some sort of mental condition I think, like object impermance in children.

I don't think Brady goes back to college. But to say he is only thought highly of because of the QB and WR's is ridiculous. Do you remember the offense in 2018 being pedestiran and JB9 somewhat avg and the WR's dropping balls.
Brady revamped the offense, called great games, came in and had a summer of 10000 catches with the WR's. He help create the beast WR's, he was the WR coach. The WR corp in 2019 was 10x better than they were before Brady. It was NOT the WR and QB that created Brady, Brady was the guy that came in and developed the WR's and bolstered the QB performance.
The jump from 2018 to 2019 offense performance was in large part due to Brady.

Can’t build on portal players. That destroys culture.

Next coach needs to recruit players out of high school and use the portal to fill holes.

Brady is not a leader. He's a great coach but just doesn't have it.

Same reason Kellan Moore is going to flop with the Saints.

You need a great coach that is also a leader of men.

Why? Because we're paying them?

Did you see what happened with Underwood?

You dont make an AFC championship with a record breaking offense unless your side of the ball doesnt have justified respect for you as a playcaller.

Im sure hes just fine

Brady would get us through 1 year, 2 max, before heading back to the NFL.

You guys are diverting from the question, which is whether you think Brady would be a good coach or not. Not whether he will actually take the job.

IF we were to get Brady, I would be very happy. The guys knows ball, and I've seen plenty of fire in him when they cut to the booth and they are celebrating a big touchdown.

He has credibility as an offensive coach, and from his time in the NFL knows what "good looks like".

Everyone said he was a wizz kid and the next big thing coming up.
I would absolutely love to see that happen but it wont. He loves pro football. End of story hes coming here as much as Saban is coming

3. If he continues to have success, he's likely in line for an NFL HC job. College fans don't want to accept this, but the NFL provides a better quality of life for a coach. A NFL coach doesn't have to go around the country year-round to beg HS kids (and their agents) to come play for him. He doesn't have to constantly recruit his own roster to stay. He doesn't have to deal with kids constantly trying to leverage him for more and more money because they don't have an employment contract. Plus, the job security in college is no better than the NFL now. At least in the NFL coaches get an actual offseason. That's not the case in college.

This all day. He's most likely going to get offered NFL HC jobs this offseason. Maybe even coaching Burrow again if the Bengals decide to cut ties with ZT

Kelly put no effort into it and was able to land good players.

Brady would need to buy in obviously, but the heartbeat of recruiting is generally with your position coaches and support staff.

I said he's a great coach. He won't be a great head coach. It's a different job.

I can give you a very long list of great coordinators and play callers on both sides of the ball that turned out to be terrible head coaches because they lacked what was needed to command a football team.

My opinion of Joe Brady is that he also lacks those qualities.

Look I like the idea of Joe Brady, less than the idea of Saban and both aren’t happening.

I asked Grok to predict the LSU coach a few days ago. That was the name it came up with, however it did that.

If it's Brady, then you don't have a Coach until late January at the earliest. Are you ready to wait that long or are you going to be freaking out. Brady wants a Super Bowl ring.

People really like to discredit Brady’s involvement in 2019.

They also want to inflate his involvement as though he were the OC. He was not. He was integral in getting the team where it needed to be, though.

He also had one foot out the door from the moment he got to LSU. His stated goal was always to coach in the NFL and eventually become a head coach. If he comes to LSU, it will be as a stepping stone to an NFL head coaching position. Recent history suggests that being a successful coordinator in the NFL gets him to an NFL head coaching job faster than being a successful HC in college,
