Makes sense for Charlie. The ACC will definitely be harder than what they have played since he has been there, and Bridgewater leaving means Charlie better take a good offer before they dry up.

Good hire if he takes it. Glad he won't be wrecking shop in the SEC in the future.

Congrats to Texas. Mack wanted to recruit in Florida, Charlie will. Looking forward to seeing the battle of Strong's defense philosophies against Briles, I'm a man, and pretty boy.

Good luck coach Strong!

It's not as easy as flashing money at coaches.

From Shaggy-

quote:

Apparently someone on the Texas side leaked it bc they did not like the hire and wanted to frick it up. Makes sense as strong had not had a chance to talk to his guys. Secondly it seems the Hurtt guy is a nonstarter for Texas but strong wants to keep him. All told: hate.

Sounds about right.

That was a dumb reason to not hire him.

that's a story/narrative. let's not act like it's the biblical truth

the media will create/stretch basically any story that makes the SEC look like cheaters, racists, etc

It does, but there is only one color that counts - green.

Besides, it's 2014 - in 100 years we'll all be a lovely caramel color - heck, hopefully, we'll all look like Halle Berry and Daniel Sunjata.
