Yeah. We all thought it was done but he backed out at the last minute.
However, Texas is offering him substantially more than Tennessee and Texas is obviously in much better shape than we were/are.

As for those who claim he hasn't proven anything because of Louisville competition. He has done as well at Louisville as Petrino did. Anybody think Petrino is not a good coach? And he beat an 11 win Florida team and Miami.

So Texas is giving Strong the keys to the program.......but is already telling him who he can't hire 
That's just the beginning of this train wreck. Texas needs to take this opportunity and back out.....spend a couple extra million and hire a real coach like Shaw, Dantonio, Gundy or Swinney....all 4 of these coaches will have a hard time turning down 6.5-7 million per year.

Really like Strong. Just don't think Texas is right for him. Tough to turn down that money, but i think he could take UL to new heights with their move to the ACC. Has the rep after rebuilding them. Solid recruiting in florida that could be expanded nationally. Allure of playing FSU, UM, Clemson etc annually. He has it made already.
