Auburn coaches don't leave when they get here, and Sports Illustrated is garbage when it comes to writing about Auburn.
Because they don't have enough time to leave before other coaches are being secretly flown in.

That's the funniest part of the story. Gus called Auburn his dream job. He may not stay at Auburn his entire career. He sent his child to Auburn. He came back to Auburn which told me all I needed to know.

What coach was flown into Auburn?

Pete:
It's nice to be back. I see our success has gotten to the point that you need to bitch about Auburn and fabricate rumors again.
Very truly yours,
Auburn

I could see Texas folks wanting a young, innovative coach with some HC experience. Not sure Gus is the guy they'd go after, but they damn sure need some new idea's and some energy pumped into that program.

Pay Gus 4mil/season and I bet he'll go. Otherwise, I doubt it.

It's funny because it was the right agent....but the wrong HC they were after

It's a ruse to cover the Saban negotiations.

The writer of this article very obviously has anti-Auburn bias. It's basically an amateurish slam piece on Auburn.
And I say this as someone who hates Auburn.
