He'd be stupid to leave Auburn right now. He'd also be stupid not to leverage a bigger paycheck out of the Texas job. Actually, I'd be willing to bet Saban and Malzahn could BOTH get bigger paychecks out of their respective schools thanks to the Texas opening

Bowden...3rd most successful coach in Auburn history by win % (btw 1 and 2 coached prior to 1925)

Worst season prior to his last...8-4, prior season 10-3. Resigned before his termination.

Much like Dye before him...wasn't given a choice.

Then we have Tubs. 7 times he finished 2nd or better in the West. One bad season...yer outa here. BTW, have ya'll paid off his buyout yet?

Then you have the Chiz...2 years removed from a title....bye bye. Worst year at Auburn...8 wins. How long before you're done paying him off btw?

Sounds to me like we have a standard of excellence that we expect our HCs to maintain. If they don't, they are shown the door. Are you saying that's a bad thing?

If confronted with the choice between Auburn and Austin, it's a no-brainer move for Malzahn to bolt.

Unless he gets a $2 million raise.

People who have zero experience in contract negotiations are SO frickING GULLIBLE!!!
