So if O needs a top tier OC in order to stay, who could he get?

Based on his contacts, LSU's appeal and damn strong defense.

Don't think he could get admin to agree with that one.

Jimbo would be a good hire, although I don't know that Orgeron and a good OC wouldn't be the better one.

As for who? Beats me.

Are there any good OCs currently on a team whose HC is on the hot seat? If the HC is fired and the OC is not retained they would be available for hire.

I don't think there is good enough proven OC out there that isn't already angling for a head coaching job. Not one big enough to justify keeping Oregeron as Head coach even if Aranda stays. In other words I think we can not keep Orgeron as HC. We need a big time offensive minded, proven HC.

Crowton..

He's always good for a year or two before people figure him out.

O has said he wants a Pro style offense

That limits the pool down a lot.

He sorta went Kiffin or bust at Ole Miss.

Hope he isn't gearing up for that again if he gets the job here.

Good enough for Saban to hire, but not us?

What if he can't get a really good OC and or Aranda leaves? Then what? Still want O?

He already has one. He played here so he can relate to the fans. That's all that matters

He is alike a consultant

Not the OC

He is good enough to hire in a position where if he goes on a bender you can still field a team .

That's my guess. If Herman goes to Texas, Applewhite may not want to follow him there given that he was reprimanded by the university back in 2009 for having a "relationship" with a female trainer on a bowl trip.

we already have one on staff who is doing a mighty fine job of it: Ensminger.

He managed to turn this offense around as soon as he took over. Is setting records on offense now. He should definitely get heavy consideration if O is hired. Keep the staff together.

He's got his new staff in order if he gets the nod. Not sure who it is but he's made it clear to aleva he knows he needs a new direction on offense so I'm sure it's a big name. Probably kiffen, sark, maybe the a&m OC. He knows who he wants but I'm not sure if that guy has shown interest

bama has a pretty good defense, Etling seemed to get stage fright, o-line was overmatched and the refs fricked us as well.

Ensminger has done great in every other game so far. Finally seeing an LSU offense use all its weapons and open up the offense.

The good thing about a pro-style offense is that you have a wealth of NFL OC's to choose among as well. Kyle Shanahan perhaps?
