So this will get interesting. Apparently there is a dispute on whether the language of Nielsen’s contract will support the move to the college ranks. The #Saints are currently NOT signing off on this per sources.

So people still think Sean Payton is a fan of LSU? Hell, even last year he thought Brady was gonna fail. Is it coincidence he doesn't draft LSU players?

So the Saints are going to block him from a promotion and massive raise and then force him to stay on as a position coach? Excellent motivational tool for your employees.

This isn’t a Sean Payton decision. This a GM decision. Now maybe Payton is telling Loomis to block it but the final say is going to be Loomis and Benson

Same org that consulted about releasing child rape for the Catholic Church and had players turn on their qb.

Bensons wife is a running the org into the ground

This is a,Mickey Loomis play. CSP doesn't have the power to challenge contractual language

He can still come here, provided TAF forks over the breach of contract dough.

It will be a bad look for the Saints front office if they pull this shite. He’s likely gone, either way.

And you’re saying Will Clapp is the only “best available” player from LSU that CSP has had a chance to draft since 2006? Right... good call. There is a clear bias in not drafting LSU players by the Saints. Now I think we can understand the frustration of the continued poaching of the Saints Coaching Staff (McMahon, Brady, Neilson). But the draft is a head scratcher.

He drafted a Lapp and traded for Kwon this year; Sean’s beef is with O and bad blood when O was lazy and recruiting for Tennessee while employed by the Saints.
