But I also know our AD is notoriously overconfident. See the last 20 years of recruiting and coaching searches. It's always "ball's at the one yard line, basically done" and it doesn't happen. But hey, hopefully this time they win the race and finish.

I would take Chris Kiffin as DC if we get Lane.
If it really doesn't work out, then Lane will get someone else. He wants to win, won't let that affect us long-term.

Maybe his brother at DC wouldn’t be all bad. What other DC could smack the HC upside the head when he tries to go for it on 4th down from their own side of the field?
