Former Alabama offensive lineman Wilkin Formby has transferred to Texas A&M, according to multiple reports.

Formby, a redshirt freshman from Tuscaloosa, Ala., started 14 games for Alabama this past season, seeing action at both right tackle and right guard.

Seems like an odd decision. My guess is that Bama would not commit to him being a full-time tackle, whereas aggy did. Tackles get paid a lot more than guards in the NFL.

He struggled as a tackle at Alabama, which ultimately resulted in him being moved to guard for the second half of this season. I think his decision to leave is best for both him and Alabama.
