He was ready to head to GT last offseason if their admin hasn’t fricked it up.
If Duke loses Elko, they may make a play for him. Elko has set up a pretty good foundation there, so it wouldn’t be a bad gig to walk into. But it also wouldn’t shock me if he stayed put.

The problem with Willie is he's 62 and he's a long term program builder. It took him 6 to 7 years to get Tulane rolling. I'm not sure major schools have that type of patience these days for a 63yr old program builder. I have watched him for 8 years and I just don't think he's gonna walk in somewhere and win quick in a major conference.

His age is a concern, but if TAMU were to take Fritz, he'd be walking into a pretty good locker room. It isn't as if the roster has to be built from scratch.

Nah. Braun is the first Northwestern coach to win 5 games in his first season since 1903. They had every reason to suck this year, and instead, could realistically go bowling.
I doubt Fritz, or anyone else, is on their radar at this point.

Hes making 2.5 mill or so a year at Tulane and is safe as long as he doesnt go worse than 6-6 for a few years in a row
I dont think he gets a “good” P5 job. Would be a perennial loser job. Duke might be his ceiling.
Classic case where he should stay where he is for another 5-6 years then enjoy retirement and family.

Not even Arkansas would be better?
Might be what the doctor order for LSU fans to keep him out of other SEC schools to hire him.
