MSU could do a lot worse. He'd build well for 4-5 years and leave program in a good spot for the next guy. He might not want that challenge though. MSU is a shitty program with fairly high expectations, tough spot to be in.

I'm pulling for Chadwell...bring the triple option back to the Power 5 MSU!

But, seriously the guy is obviously a great coach. He deserves his big shot.

Seriously. I’m sure there’s still some bad blood but it makes too much sense

Jimbo to State, Lane to aTm, Freeze to Ole Miss, and Mel Tucker to Auburn. Please, oh please!

I'm shocked nobody is mentioning him in this. Why not? For both Mullen and for Mississippi State.

I'm assuming he is doing well with the commentating gig so he doesn't want to go back.

Controversial, but they need to hire a black guy. Of course, he needs to be a quality coach, but Mississippi has the highest black population % in the country. Embrace it. Maybe you can convince some mommas to keep their babies home in Miss.

Yeah, the word must be out that he's not looking for a job right now. That's the only thing that makes sense because I'm also surprised his name hasn't been floated for State, or any place else.

Uh, don't know how old you are, but tried that with Croom, did not have any impact on recruiting at all.

Is Jimbo's buyout guaranteed even if he takes another job? If so that's a sweet deal.
