So, Saban gets one more shot to win a championship because he is retiring, FSU gets left out, now their coach is considering jumping ship to the program that actually gets to play in the playoffs.

I genuinely feel bad for whoever Bama hires. There is no one out there that will match Saban's authority and drive. Whoever this first guy is post-Saban is essentially killing his career.
