Swinney could come in to help restore the program to its glory days, and he is already very comfortable recruiting in the South. Florida could use something like Swinney, and his take-no-nonsense attitude could fit in very well within Gainesville.
But the biggest thing would be that Swinney would need to get with the times, which means using the transfer portal to his advantage. Swinney has the ability to do this, and any team that would hire him would likely make this clear to him before signing the contract.
Florida is one of the bigger names in the sport, so Swinney wouldn’t need to do much to get players to want to come play there. Additionally, due to his own success, the Gators would likely land some players who just want to play under Swinney.
Swinney is still only 55 years old, so he would have a chance to build something special with the Gators. And being a head coach in the SEC has long been a rumored desire for the veteran head coach, making this even more of a possibility.

I hope so. If Dabo hasn’t changed his ways he will have a harder time winning at UF than he did at Clemson.
He better learn to love the transfer portal.

That would be an awful hire

Swinney is more likely to retire than take another job. Especially not one that’s a pressure cooker like Florida.

Gotta give it to you caw, you have a knack for finding irrelevant and old websites to prove your point/reverse jinx that UF aint getting anyone good

I can't think of a more opposite coach of Kiffin than Dabo.

Dabo is about all we can expect any longer.
A coach like LK realizes UF football is done.

That is from the 19th. And I haven’t seen that anywhere else. Extremely doubtful.

Florida can do better than a coach that wants nothing to do with NIL or the portal

The meltdown from Gainesville would be felt on the moon.

Don't believe it for a minute. But how gloriously hilarious that would be!

Dabo could be a very good coach with a reset at UF. If he hits home runs on his OC and DC hires, UF will be good very fast. If he misses, tho..

Not buying that. Kiffin to Florida is a done deal. Congrats. I’m not sure why Florida fans on this site are still pretending that it’s not. You guys think you are apart of the process in keeping things quiet and are doing your part to get Kiffin to Florida. It’s done. It’s been done . The charade is over. Sexton drove up the price so I guess he gets an applause for playing all 3 schools in order to create his “Mona Lisa.” I think LSU and Florida put themselves in a situation where they were going to be forced to overpay for a coach like Kiffin and OM would be forced to match or go back to mediocrity. However , Kiffin is letting the ex wife way heavily on decisions which is never good lol. But Florida got him , and it would take Divine intervention for OM to hold him at this point. Now LSU better have a plan B that’s not Frank Wilson or Drink.
