Well, he had to replace six of the 9 last year. I'm just going to go ahead and say he'll do exactly the same thing this year.

Hes been reloading his team every year for a decade. Don't think coaching or player turnover really stresses that program like it does others

It’d still be nice to keep the popular coordinators and assistants longer than a season or two.

This is exactly why you hire the commodity.. Saban just reloads assistants and follows the script

It's moot until Saban leaves. It's like changing a light bulb for him.

Saban has done a great job replacing coaches, but let's not pretend he can't get burned at some point. I think he's playing with fire with this level of turnover. He will make a bad hire or two and it will hurt.

The other question: Why is he losing so many coaches? Enos would've been the coordinator, and left for a less prestigious program for likely less money.

Why? It's because Saban is an a-hole and everyone hates him. Coaches work for him because it is good for their careers, but they haul arse at first opportunity.

Eventually, you start buying cheaper light bulbs and then, even Nick Saban will run out.

Yeah, but Saban and Alabama's "getting burned" is getting crushed in the national championship game. When things aren't exactly right he is still getting better results than 99% of the rest of college football.

And he was with Saban even before that at LSU and with the Dolphins. He is obviously the exception.

Never forget that when Saban left Michigan State to come to LSU, he sent a plane to East Lansing to bring all his assistants down to Baton Rouge. Not a single coach got on the plane. They all refused to follow him.

My hat is off to Saban. This kind of turnover would be a killer for any other coach, even from just a pure PR standpoint. He has fought through it, however.

I'm just saying it will catch up to him at some point. Think of all the extra work it takes to get new employees trained, up to speed on your terminology, system, etc. I'm sure that gets old as shite.

It is too much of a career stepping stone for guys to stay, I mean Mike Locksley[sic] is an HC now!

As long as he can stockpile the talent and maintain a shadow staff larger than NFL teams he can continue to mix and match average to above average coaches and still be very successful.
