I read what "a source" said. What I'm saying is that there wasn't a 'vote' as described.

Like this part?

The attitudes within the locker room toward Kiffin weren't unanimous, but there were clearly some negative feelings toward him. The vote of the leadership group may not be reflective of how the entire roster felt, either.

I also read the article and agree there was nothing worth noting. Except maybe the guys that straight up refuted what Kiffin said?

Given the choice in life, many millions of extra dollars trump a trophy any day. But I’m a poor, so take it with a grain of salt.

An article saying "the vote was 9-3" without citing a source is meaningless. The source could have been Kiffin, the Easter Bunny, 2Pac's holo, etc.

FWIW I know that Chambliss wanted to Kiffin to coach the playoffs. Obviously at least the 3 guys who posted on Twitter from Ole Miss dissented.

Yet the same people that hate anonymous sources will swear up and down that “Lane told his assistant coaches to get on the plane or they won’t have a job” without a confirmed, unbiased, source, right? Again, just hypocritical spin from Runt U.

Well of course Ole Miss fans are going to look at it through their lens (and LSU vice versa).... did you expect any different? I think the overarching takeaway is that it's a messy divorce, nothing more or less. Lane wanted to coach the playoffs and is salty Ole Miss told him no. If I'm a LSU fan I'm happy he's not coaching the playoffs because he can focus on the ongoing tampering portal and actual portal opening up in 2 weeks.

Meh. frick him. He left to go to a rival school instead of staying to finish what he started.

OMG you fricking idiot. He tried to do that.
Y'all keep saying the same shite over and over.
The AD didn't want him to finish what he started.
So stop with the lies and put your big boy panties on

Yes, like that part that clearly states it wasn’t a “team vote”.

Good job

Even if they had actually voted for him to come back, it means frick all. “What the players want” is rarely a good route to go down for the program long term.
This is where Henry Jones Jr capitulated. Nothing wrong with that. It's better to accept reality and move on.

See here's where OM's head is in the sand. You've been lied to so many times by your own athletic director and department.

1. The first Friday meeting statement released by your AD. He put his head in the sand and attempted to ignore that Lane was gone. Let's face it, the "extension" he allegedly almost signed before the egg bowl, was a Hail Mary from OM.

2. Coaches were told if they didn't get on the plane, they didn't have job. Time has proven that to be false.

3. We don't want LSU coaches coaching our team through the playoff...Ummm...who's actually doing much of the coaching for OM in the playoffs?

See, the narratives coming out of Oxford have been nothing but revisionist history so far, so no offense if we don't start believing their BS now.

Something tells me that’s not why you urged him to read the article. You know, because you would be agreeing with his point there was no vote.

How has that proven to be false?

Those assistant coaches returning to coach in the CFP is not directly correlated to what happened that Sunday morning. Ole Miss is double-paying salary for those assistants during the CFP because they want to keep things as close to normal as possible despite the dumpster fire situation.

Yep. I'm sure two reputable national writers decided to lie on this one.

If they really wanted to they should be doing it now… the playoff is allowing other guys to take those spots

Yall hired Pete Golding without a search. The players ran that and Kieth Carter allowed it
