A ton of names and emotions the past couple of weeks, but I truly believe Fickell is the guy LSU fans really wanted.

kind of want baylor to win now.
how weird would it be if he accepted ND before the playoffs.. and so both cincy and nd coaches accepted other jobs before heading into the playoffs.
i understand not likely to be accept from him before.

But I also never thought Kelly was an option. I would have thought he’d was untouchable.

Why would you want the guy who’s only done it at cincy and hasn’t proven it at a bigger school, in fact who sucked his only time at a major program, when you could have a guy who accomplished the same thing at Cincinnati and a major program?

I mean ... Kelly is the slightly older and more successful version of Fickell. No reason to go for Fickell if you can get Kelly.

That is what was promised, but I suspect they never in their wildest dreams imagined it would have to be fulfilled this soon.
They will either hire him or quietly pay him to forget about that.

Sounds like a nice domino effect. Fickell doesn't want the SEC smoke. Wants to stay in his comfort zone. Everyone wins.
