No sounds like a slim ball who wanted to get Miles fired so he can get the job. I’m sure he was talking bad about miles to the Ad.

I think people don't realize Kiffin's brother has 11 years coaching DL including in the NFL
Its probably gonna be him

Absolutely correct Bunch. It’ll be Chris Kiffin…UNLESS he doesn’t want it. He’s been an analyst recently, maybe he doesn’t want to be an onfield coach right now.
Robinson is weird. Report that he “doesn’t like leaks” and that nuked the LSU job. Now not going to the other places that make sense.
I’m good with moving on

Baker don't want O as his DL coach
Another reason to like Baker. He's got common sense.
Coach Ogre loves Coach Ogre, not LSU.

why wouldn't it have been him from the jump though?

1 more year from Kyle Williams hopefully. He did a good job with our guys on the interior. Go out with a bang Kyle.
No thanks.

Seems like ERob is not really hungry for a championship and is looking for a place to coast. If so, we don’t need him. We’ve had enough of that lately.

Dude really saw us sign 3 of the top 4 DL in the country, including the #1 overall recruit, and said nah I’m good.
frick em
Could be he got an up close look at the very, very high expectations he'd be held to, given the players he'd be coaching and resources he'd have available, and decided he wasn't about that life after all.
If so, I thank him for his honest self-assessment and for not wasting anyone's time or money.

Give him what he wants, get him in here and be done with it. (That's exactly what I posted on here in one of the "Fire Nikki" threads in regards to Kim Mulkey YEARS before she was actually hired at LSU)
I do wish Kyle would give us one more year.

I think its more likely something didnt go well in the interview or background check

Why give him a bag for just another 1 year rental? You need someone for like 3-4 years to actually develop and see things through.

quote:If he has any aspirations, this is the most logical job in the country to plant his flag with the studs he's getting / will be able to get. Even if he just wanted to eventually go back to his alma mater as DL coach, 1-2 years in BR would get him a huge raise back home compared to just going to PSU now
unlikely Elijah Robinson joins the staff
If he has no aspirations - where the frick else is a better place to coast? The compensation alone will make it superior, to say nothing of the monsters he'd recruit in LA/TX that would make coasting easier
One of two possibilities IMO
1. LSU passed on him
2. He's been offered a DC role, or has his eye on one he thinks he has a chance for
