I would think he would be recruiting poison right now, regardless of whether the allegations were true.

He'll do better than Kiffin was going to do.

This would be shocking and retarded.
UT needs a stabilizing force right now. Cutcliffe would be perfect.

at least when Leach locks them in the closet, they have plunger handles to get themselves out of it.

he was mentioend before Kiffin was hired, and didn't get the job. what makes him a perfect fit 14 months later?
Leach currently has no buyout (you save money there). You'll save money on his contract b/c you on't have to outbid anyone. He is a proven coach with a proven track record. Unless UT feels somehow his actions with the James kid was out of line, it would be a sold hire.

Every coach in the SEC will use them against Leach. UT is a hard enough place to recruit to without that baggage. Leach is probably out for a year or two.

A few things:
1. If you're an offensive player, you'd love to play for Leach as long as you are not an entitled national sportscaster's kid.
2. Since when do we really care how stable UT is? I know the Bama opponent thing, but really? Telling them whoever would be a good hire is like them suggesting our next hire, whenever that may be. None of us have their best interest in mind.
3. Leach is a good coach. You don't do what he did, over the time that he did, and not be.

But, they're way up there. Not sure it can be unlodged.

..would be nice each year to see Vol-Bama game:
Leach's Offense vs Lil Nicky's Defense

I know the whole Adam James thing doesn't get summed up in a sentence, and it's smelled like the TT AD was trying to hit the undo button on the Leach contract, but Leach did lose his job a couple weeks ago for abusing a player. I think it's going to take a year of him not saying super dumb stuff to rehabilitate the image a bit.
It would be really entertaining to see how he'd do in the SEC.

I don't see this happening -- Leach is too hot right now, and Hamilton needs to make a safe bet to keep his job.

I think they pass because Leach recruits football players that graduate. That would go against UT's creed.
But on the other hand they might be able to save money by having a lawyer doubling as a HC.

Cutcliff is UT's guy. I also think it would be a solid choice. He's a class act and just the tonic UT needs from bedding down with that whore for 14 months.

Leach would be the best move, imo. I don't think he's 'recruiting poison' at all. This would be a very good hire if true.

Butch Davis would be a good option IMO
