Some people are Coordinators and some people are HCs.

Ray Rhodes, Norv Turner, Gregg Williams (I know that's all pro guys but still...)

That's the frustrating thing with Miles. We pay top dollar to assistant coaches, yet we rarely hire the elite guys. Kragthorpe would be a gamble, but he could be good.

continue to hope that Holgerson is somewhere on Miles' list.

bc it would make too much sense. Instead Miles is checking into a guy he passed on last yr that then proceeded to land the WR gig at a second tier Big XII school

I think HOlgerson has to be on The list for HC jobs at Colorado, Miami and maybe others who will be losing the HC. I think Miami will go after Mullen now but I would think DH would be on their short list.

Nothing should surprise us(and I know it doesn't surprise you).

The man hired Yano away from Edward Jones and Ensminger from a high school.

I agree. Kragthorpe is more of a headscrather for me than Leach. NOT becuase his tenure as a HC didn't go as planned, but because (as others have already said) if he wasn't the right guy last year, why would he be the right guy this year? Could Mett possibly coming in have something to do with it? Maybe he thinks Kragthorpe would be a better fit now b/c he will potentially have that caliber of QB coming in to work with and develop? I don't see Miles as the type to settle and therefore see Kragthorpe as the right guy this year.
Who knows? There is plenty of time for this to all shake out.

Yep cause only Les could fail to win a BCS title every year as coach. So you think we have way more talent then every other team in america or there's no such thing as a great coach, b/c no one else is doing what you think Les should

What kind of offense does Kragthorpe run? And would it fit the team + recruits we have?

In 2007, Kragthorpe carried around a baseball bat in an attempt to motivate his players to become "Better After Today" and placed mousetraps around the locker room in another effort at motivation
