Wilson is a lock to remain on staff next year. He's job security is about equal to Cooper.
Heck, Wilson might have more job security than Miles

really a guy who has never lost less than 2 games would have gone undeafeated if he had the 45th ranked offense? Yeah, really.

And please remind me how many times your might Saban lost less than 2 games while at LSU? oh, yeah only once...don't act like it is something that should happen every year

he also has a history of making some very good hires, but no one sees you giving him credit for that!

his coordinator hires, for the most part, have been disastrous

really? how was Pelini (sp?)? how is Chavis? I'd say at worst he is 50/50, though maybe even hire considering that Crowton did have some success in the beginning.

he's not terrible at forming a staff but he's certainly not the master. middle of the road imo.

i can agree with that. The only thing that I would add though is that he does have more knowledge of football and football coaches than anyone on this board, so I will defer to Miles' opinion as to who he thinks will be the better option for OC...as long as that option is not Crowton..

Kragthorpe could possibly be the worst candidate that has ever existed.

I read a few interviews he did in Louisville, they read like Miles talking about Crowtons system.

I agree, we should totally judge a coach by a few interviews they did once.

Would you suggest his effectiveness as his own offensive Coordinator as the ruler.

Well, I'd suggest looking his entire resume rather than a couple interviews and wasn't it like 4 games when he ran his own offense as head coach at Louisville?

Kragthorpe isn't a sexy hire, and I don't think he'd be the best hire... but I don't think he's a disaster either.

Of course I looked at his entire body of work...it is less than impressive.

He has has very little success where he has been, except for one outlier at Tulsa, his teams have not won.

He lacks an offensive identity.

Our main problem is we lack an identity as well.

i like him as an oc, his teams at tulsa were well coached. not sure why he failed at UL, but either way i think it would be a solid hire.

Yea - going 10-2 and finishing the regular season in the top 10 of the BCS will do that to YOU!

I'm not one for lauding a man on the internet, but without a doubt - belowpar, no matter what you say about him, is the best source of coaching info on this board.
