Yes yes, he's definitely out looking/talking, but he did the same thing last year.

I'm hearing Crowton gets one of the smaller school head jobs, which makes him leaving a lot "politically easier"

And again, I'm sure other people talk about potential replacements, and names will be thrown out all the time, but I'm telling you only names that I KNOW he has or is going to reach out to and I won't know everyone he reaches out to, but I will know who he's serious about.

Then I highly doubt we could be worse on offense next year

Kragthorpe's resume as a QB coach/Offensive Coordinator is pretty strong:

There is just no way he'd be worse than Crowton

Just out of curiosity, why do you not like him other than he failed as a head coach at Louisville?

I said the same thing about Carl Smith under Mora, but then Ditka hired Danny Abramowicz.

bc when he took over UL's offense he was abysmal. there was an article detailing his trainwreck last yr when his name came up, but I haven't been able to find it. Then A&M thought so highly of him they made him a WR coach

I think he just means politically correct in a sense of not firing.

Bilj asked the right question.

Why now, when Kragthorpe wasn't then?

Crowton's salary?

Although Louisville started the 2007 season as #10 in the AP Poll and returned the majority of the 2007 Orange Bowl champion team, including a Heisman Trophy candidate (QB Brian Brohm), the Cards finished the season a disappointing 6–6, including a loss to Syracuse in which the Cardinals were 37 point favorites. Nine consecutive winnings seasons and bowl games came to an end under the direction of Kragthrope in year one of his coaching tenure at Louisville with a team that had enough talent to see five of its players taken in the NFL Draft. Rumors swirled on whether Kragthorpe would return for a second season

not really

That's seems like big time underachievement. (actually, he'd fit right in @ LSU)

Most importantly he's a good QB coach. A good QB can make just about any scheme look good.

I continue to hope that Holgerson is somewhere on Miles' list.

Kragthrope does nothing for me but if it means getting rid of Crowton I would go along. I would rather see him tap someone young and up and coming like lincoln riley if cheap is what he's after.

I think something is going on with him. What that is, I don't know, but if you watched the OU/OSU game, he was not wearing a headset and the word is that he was not calling the plays.

Possibly already has something else lined up??? I don't know.
