I am with op. Has legs, but that's about it at this point. More info to come tomorrow. I originally thought no way, but I would say there is a chance. I have to think pretty small one but $ talks.

I think you are looking at the stats incorrectly in regards to A&M's defense.
They give up lots of points because they play defense for a whole lot more plays because of the pace of the game. More possessions, more plays = more chances to score. A better stat to look at is yards allowed per play:
LSU #2 at 3.1 yards per play.
A&M #39 at 5.1 yards per play.
So not top 25 defense, but I would give it some respect considering they will be going from playing one of the top offenses in NCAA to an average offense at best.

Status of LSU Football - My Opinion

I haven't posted anything on here in a really long time, but I love/hate reading it. Sometimes it blows my mind peoples opinions and how you guys can jump off the cliff so quickly, but again I guess that's the reason for a message board so people with outlandish, ridiculous, and sometimes pure idiotic statements can say what they want to say. With that being said lets look at how I see LSU Football.
-Damn, we lost our FIRST regular season game since November 2010 to a now top 5 team. How many other teams in D1 have this record?
-LSU is currently on its SCHOOL RECORD longest home winning streak of 21 straight games. Last loss was in Oct 2009 to Florida who was ranked very high.
-LSU is ranked in the top 10 in 3 defensive categories and in my opinion is the absolutely best defense in NCAA.
-LSU is ranked in the top 10 in both the AP and USA today poll for the 24th consecutive week.
Are there issues with this current team? Sure...Offense is pretty pitiful, yes.
Do you as a rational person believe that you should go undefeated every year and win the National Championship every year? Do I want this??? ABSOLUTELY, but there are bumps and bruises throughout the journey. Am I going to jump off the cliff and hate on my own team??? ABSOLUTELY NOT. This is the SEC, EVERYONE IS GOOD, there will be losses at times. 1 every couple years is PRETTY DAMN GOOD.
This football team is a very good team and has a VERY tough road ahead. Our next 4 opponents are a combined 20-1, all four ranked in the top 25 and 2 in the TOP 3.
Do you believe that we need all the complaining right now or do you think we need to get out there and support these guys with this RIDICULOUSLY hard schedule. These guys need to know they need to get up off their arse and go kick some arse and that the fans are going to be right there with them.

There is a whole lot of moving pieces in the aggie search. The 4 listed are not the only candidates. In fact I don't think one of Byrnes favs is on the list but there is strong talk that he won't be staying next year. There is a group including some regents and some powerful ags pushing there own agenda.

Ranters!
It's been awhile since I've been on the good ol' Rant.
I just wanted to come on and say what an amazing football game that was last saturday. That's a game that will be talked about and be a classic for a long time.
It's so good to be able to come on the Rant and not see all the threads about "Miles winning with Saban's players, Miles is an Idiot, etc." It's so good to see all the support for the team and coaching staff. It's a really big accomplishment to go into Alabama and beat that team on their field like they did.
Let's hope for no let down's the rest of the way and I'll see you guys at the National Championship Game!!!
