Brian Kelly is known to have dominant offensive/defensive lines. I'm going to trust his judgment.

The days of TD influencing hires is over.

He can’t come here. We don’t like our NFL hall of famer players with NFL line coaching positions to come back no matter HOW much they love and adore and want to be at LSU. No way. Give us somebody from the middle of the midwest or north somewhere with no NFL experience.

And keep Joe Brady’s name off the page for the OC candidate. I don’t care that he dominated and made an unstoppable offense in 2019, don’t care that he won the Broyles award, don’t care that he was recommended by Ensminger, and certainly don’t care that nick saban couldn’t figure out what he was doing with our offense. Hell no. Anytime you see Joe Brady’s name, downvote the piss out of it and loath about being tired of seeing it. We hate successful coaches. Give us a no name over hypersuccessful coach any day.

Again explain to me how great a job Kevin Faulk did as RB coach, without any experience whatsoever coaching the position. How was he qualified for the job?

After all the disaster hires by Coach O on position coaches without experience, I now understand Coach Saban's position on Scott Cochran (S &C) wanting to become a position coach, Saban told him to go the route as a GA first to gain experience. Cochran refused and bolted to Georgia. Now we all see how that has turned out for Georgia. Coach O should have told Faulk to go the GA route if he wanted to become a collegiate RB coach.

isn't it rumored he ratted on ASU after they didn't hire him? Might be tough for any college team to want that around

Offense was terrible this year because of th OL.

Davis didn't arrive until June 2021 when Orgeron decided to fire the previous O-line coach. Well after spring. He didn't really get a chance to do any on-field coaching until August to implement his blocking style. It would be a poor sample to use.

That was a rumor that makes sense. Kevin retweeted someone saying it wasn’t him that did it, but I think the denial and rumor are about equal in validity.

I don’t think it’s any secret he wanted the job and didn’t get it.

How tf did he hitch his wagon to O?

He took a job on his staff.

The HC dictates the staff.

Now is Davis someone Kelly
might keep? Sure.

But the HC dictates the staff.

“Loving LSU” or eating gumbo shouldn’t be a prerequisite to be a coach here. It’s a high paying coaching job with great in state talent with a built in recruiting advantage. Any coach with a pulse can compete nationally here. Some of you people frickin kill me with who you want to see getting jobs here. The “one of us” narrative is gross.

Yeah, all Brady out-scheming everyone and nothing to do with Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Clyde, Moss, decent O-line.. those guys mean a lot less than the passing game coordinator..

Yeah, we don’t like our coaches to know what to do with our talent level of athletes, make them unstoppable. Or know how to utilize a five star QB. No way man. Get that Joe Brady name outta here!

Being a part of the previous staff. Good lord you people why do you all continue to kiss the arse of the previous staff. LSU has a new regime. LSU has a new head coach who has 31 years of experience with only 2 losing seasons. I am fine with whoever he chooses to keep but lets let him decide that and see who he may bring in.

I am not throwing shade to be mean or to attack Davis.

The truth is... Our O line has not been good in a long time. Joe Burrow made the 2018 and 2019 look better than it was.

Well I think it is pretty safe to say that our OL under performed this year....it's not outside of the realm of truth to say that this could have been the worst offensive line at LSU in at least 2 decades.

So yea there's that....but like I said in another thread if I'm Kelly I at least talk to the guy to see if he can explain the issues and how to fix them in a way I like and thing is possible.
