He wasn't a terrible RB coach, he was a horrendous ST coach.

LSU fans have lost it now that they’ve realized that they didn’t get Jimbo because they couldn’t afford him, yet Aggie could
Ask F. King Alexander and Joe Alleva if they could afford 6 million a year in 2015? The money was there, the deal was done, but FKA said no and nixed it.

Is JF realistically worth 7.5M for 10 years guaranteed?

Aggie is so pathetically and pitifully desperate to be relevant in the SEC, that they'll pull the trigger on that deal. What happens if it turns into another Chavis like scenario?

We will pay him to go away like we did with Chavis.

Jay was a great running back at UT, and is a heck of a position coach. That is a great pickup.

LSU football could certainly get the money together, but how would the optics go over when the school and state were being ran thru the mud on the news for being broke?

How’d the talent get there?

Mostly because of the name "Florida State University". Secondly, because of Jimbo.

Texas A&M isn't nearly the brand that FSU is.

and yet we are still pulling in a top 15 class when we had a lame duck coach and only won 7 games. something must be wrong

Good god dude could you and your buddies in this thread be bigger fricking pussies crying to big brother about stealing your toy? I didn't even like that toy, we got a new toy who was 4-5 in the PAC 12 north ........ but but but #UPGRADE

Jimbo has a recruiting first philosophy, just like Saban and a bunch of other successful coaches. Jay Graham is an excellent recruiter; exactly what we need. His backs will do well because unlike FSU, A&M has an elite offensive line coach. Hope we play you soon so his running backs can run your bitch team over.

Be well friend.

Jumbo was turned down by LSU because of the 10 years not the money. How many times does it have to said? Money was never the issue. We knew wed have to pay 7 mil minimum . Not for 10 years though.

I can't begin to describe how incredibly stupid this is and how wrong it is. You are making excuses that are not only irrelevant but factually untrue.

You guys got a good coach in A&M and everyone agrees. But let me correct you about your BIG brother statement.

You are not. You got beat 7 years in a row if that extends to 8 or 9. Jimbo will be hated by year 3

I think Alleva is a pretty shitty AD. However, there isnt a coach on earth I'd sign for 10 years sans Saban a few years ago. If that's stupid so be it, but I think LSU made the right call.

Saban/Urban are the only two worth 10 year contracts. Dabo will be shortly.

Maybe.

The honest answer right now is no one knows.

If Jimbo wins a SEC title for A&M then he was worth every penny of his $75 million contract. Hell the donations the next year after that title will more than pay off that contract.

If Jimbo doesn't do well and we are looking to replace him in five years it was the worst mistake we ever made.

As they say in the military- The most expensive army is the one that comes in second place.

Jimbo might be if he wasn’t funded by a bunch of amateurs for the last 10 years
