Graham is a significant upgrade over McKinney.

Zero. Now we just need Jimbo to take Kelly/Trickett/Dawsey, etc.

Who lost an elite coach?

All I see was one good coach who successfuly fleeced CFB's most ridiculous contract from a historically irrelevant program desperate to pay whatever it takes to compete.

LSU fans have lost it now that they’ve realized that they didn’t get Jimbo because they couldn’t afford him, yet Aggie could

there are a lot of programs that could afford that contract. But, none are dumb enough to give that contract to any coach not named Saban, except A&M.

There's a difference between being unable to afford something, and declining to sign a bad contract and grossly overpay and guarantee a good, not elite, coach.

Jimbo/Sexton tried to fleece LSU for a similar ridiculous contract last year. LSU refused because Jimbo isn't worth $75M, not because TAF can't afford it.

Jimbo/Sexton tried to fleece aggy for the same ridiculous contract this year. Aggy is desperate and was willing to go for it and gave a good coach an elite level contract. Hell, Saban isn't even guaranteed for 10 years at Bama.

Jumbo chose an AD (LSU Grad) and a golden parachute over Alleva. a7m is being used just like Chief did. It's what happens when you're desperate.

Jimbo is paid less than harbaugh and only 100k per more than Gus.

Jay Graham is a stud. Marcus Lattimore, Devonta Freeman, Dalvin Cook, and Cam Akers.

Can’t tell me nothing

Jimbo’s contract was fully private funded. We’re seriously not worried about it.

We paid Sumlin 10 mill in 60 days to not coach.

Compare the total exposure of their contracts for the schools.

I'm on the fence as whether Jimbo is worth $7.5M per year. If he'd gotten the standard 5 year contract, then maybe. But a full 10 year guaranteed? No. Thanks.

LSU stopped contacting Jimbo and broke off communications with Jimbo after Sexton asked for more money. Fact

Whether that was a good decision or not is yet to be determined.
