Total exposure? How about projecting total coaching investment for the next decade? What was the market in 2007?

Sumlin was 3rd in pay when he got his extension and was 10th when we fired him. It’s a non-issue.

Jumbo was turned down by LSU because of the 10 years not the money. How many times does it have to said? Money was never the issue. We knew wed have to pay 7 mil minimum . Not for 10 years though.
Just let tam live with what they did. If it works out to their liking then fine. If not though, they'll see that all that money dries up fast when the people spending it see it being wasted. Even rich people hate wasting money

Yup. Alleva didn’t even attempt to negotiate.

Good hire. He's a great recruiter. Always wanted him back at SC.

As opposed to A&M's last Running Backs coach, Clarence McKinney, who was a mediocre recruiter and a poor coach.

Curious who Jimbo will hire for Defensive Coordinator

The most important and critical hire IMO

Offensive line coach will be important as well.

Recruiting won't be an issue with this staff, it'll all come down to how well the defense is run

Freeman was good before Graham got to FSU. Cook and Akers are born freaks

Jimbo/Sexton tried to fleece LSU for a similar ridiculous contract last year. LSU refused because Jimbo isn't worth $75M, not because TAF can't afford it.

this isn't what happened

Those are the same numbers that they wanted from LSU last year. There was a “reasonable” offer supposedly agreed to in 2015 before the LSU brass nixed the deal and kept Miles. When Miles was fired, Jimbo and Sexton thought they could milk LSU this time around and through out the 10-year term. LSU correctly decided that contract length was a deal breaker.

Then, your athletic program is stupid and pretty careless. If Jimbo wanted 15 years, your administration would have paid it.

I actually like Woodward, but that is the kind of contract that will get an AD fired if Jimbo doesn't win immediately and win big.

This guy is a HELLUVA upgrade over McKinney.

Y'all don't understand that our prior RB coach was on staff to hold Sumlin up when he got too drunk. That was the guy's real job and all he was really good at. Had zero business being on a college staff.

So I'm happy with this. Call it low standards if you will.

Lol soooo let's convert FSU into A&M. Just with worse talent.

Great move Jimbo.

UF was a dumpster fire, so we got Cook. Rest of the recruits were recruited under the FSU program name -- Jimbo won't have the same luxury at A&M

most elite RBs are, which is why RB coaches are recruiters first and coaches second
